Presuming that OU or SMU wanted film of Southlake Carroll, where would they get it ? I know each university exchanges their game films, but is NT obligated to give another school a high school film ? Thanks Boise

The first time I went to College Sation, about 20 years age, I wanted to get a look at the Aggies and of storied Kyle Field. It just so happened that NT was going to open against the Aggies in the next week or so. I walked up the ramp into Kyle, and was stopped by a nice elderly man. He asked me what my business was, and then told me that Aggie practices were closed to the public. We visited and he was very nice, but he wouldn't let me in to watch the practice. Cliff Higgs is a magician. I invited him to speak at my Kiwanis Club once, and he put on a super show. I have since thought that we are missing a bet not letting him always go out for the coin flip. With Cliff handling the coin, we could get the wind 4 out of 4 quarters !

Green Towels. Sure it's an A & M rip off, but it would be colorful, whatever shade of green, and the towels could be used to wipe sweat during the early part of the season. GOMEANGREEN or some other spirit group could sell them outside the stadium.

Oklahoma is a great football stmosphere. My son went there before coming to his senses and transfering to North Texas. But while he was there, we did the good parent thing, and went to some OU games when there wasn't a Mean Green game in Denton or nearby. But get there early enough to see the pre game activities. The OU band is very good and one of my personal favorites is the way the Oklahoma fans sing the National Anthem. The band plays the National Anthem in the traditional way, with a twirler no less. But at the end of the song, where we would sing, "and the home of the brave," you'll hear "and the home of the SOONERS." Wonderful college game day atmosphere. It needs to be green to be recognized as a Mean Green fan from across the field. SMU uses white shirts. They are used late in the game as a flag of surrender.

Nightmare, This is a renewal for me. I've had these tix for about 25 or 27 years. I give $500 per year, which is $100 per game and if I divide it between me and the wife unit, that's only a $50 donation each per game. My season tickets came today. They're pretty. Also included was 2 chrome trunk emblems. I'm going to put one over my Chevrolet badge in the front Then I'll drive a Mean Green pick up. Also in the packet was a couple of coupons for a free Mean Green cap, with $30. and a "free" polo shirt with aforementioned purchase. I really like SilverEagle's idea. I would think that the families of those deceased players would rather see those numbers on the field than painted on the press box. (I know, I know, Abner Haynes is very much alive and his grandson is going to SMU) I'm opposed to retiring jerseys because I expect NT to have many many great players. So many that retiring numbers would be impractical. And Silver also points out the time frame when these numbers were retired. Are we to assume that there were no North Texas players good enough to have their nubmers retired before Abner Haynes, Joe Greene, and Richard GIll ? I know it's not about NT football, but has anyone checked out the north end zone seating at Texas lately (texassports.com/webcam.html) ? It's amazing what an unlimited budget and a lot of imagination can do. I guess we'll be sitting there in the next few years when Todd Dodge makes his return to Memorial Stadium. I think the "pride stickers" are fine for high school teams, but this is big time college football. We should expect all our players to play with intensity every play, every game. Many of these players are being given a college education to play at North Texas. The work ethic should be assumed.
