  1. Start a new seating chart
  2. The events that led up to a fumbled snap by Billy Joe Tolliver, recovered by the Mean Green to stop a Texas Tech drive and insure a North Texas win in Lubbock. Circa 1988. Where the tortilla tradition was born.
  3. This was on it's way to being one of the best recognized logos in college sports. And by the way, it, according to it's creator, is a sytlized eagle Greatness
  4. cue darrell dickey I would look for something to keep the Sooners from blitzing right off the bat. Throw to the tackel eligible.
  5. Section 125 Row 15 Seats 14 and 15
  6. Section E Row 17 Seats 13 and 14 (I think)
  7. Like cool, daddy-o I just called KNTU. They're having a problem with the feed. They should have eaten before they left home.
  8. Right. Houston, Rice, TCU, SMU (again) Tech, A & M, El Paso, etc. We should be playing Texas schools so OUR fans can see us play.
  9. While i'm not so crazy about the product, I'm glad to see them advertising. Hopefully next week, they'll continue the ads with North Texas as the opponent. It could be an ad for us as well. Thanks Boise Join the Mean Green Club Buy Season Tickets GO MEAN GREEN
  10. I don't know if the petition itself would do anything. However, the work on the petition might get noticed by Vito or another media type that might focus some attention on Abner Haynes.
  11. Members of GOMEANGREEN.COM man a booth at all home NT games and get signatures on a petition to have Abner Haynes elected to the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. Now as I'm writing this, I don't know who we'd give such a petition to, but with several thousand names, from fans and opponent's fans as well, maybe we could muster some media interest and get the (foot)ball rolling. I'd work a shift per game. What'ya think ? Thanks Boise Join the Mean Green Club Buy Season Tickets GO MEAN GREEN
  12. A side note: The new north end zone seating at Texas' Royal-Memorial Stadium appears to be complete. It looks like it was built with the rest of the current seating sections.
  13. Well, I was kidding about the seats in my section being "special." But section E does require the greatest donation to the Mean Green Club. I just WONDERED why section D was chosen to have theater seats and not X,Y, or Z. As far as paying for comfy seats, I sat there when the seats were made of wood. Aluminum was a welcome upgrade. Today, I get the bolted in chair backs. I expect to pay more for a better and better Mean Green product. The good stuff always costs more. By the way, I stopped by Fouts on the way home from Church. King DL's photos got me interested. I don't know what's palnned for a fence jon the I-35 side, but it looks nice without it. Then, I parked and walked in. There's been a lot of work done to the men's restroom. The "troughs" are gone and there is some roughed in plumbing waiting for something to be completed. The stalls around the toilets are gone, but the toilets are still there and they're wrapped in painter's paper, indicating there will be some painting going on. The sinks are also covered in paper. Doors were removed also. I don't know if they being replaced or just removed during the remodeling. The floor drains have been jack hammered up as well. 14. King DL's photo of the press box side of Fouts brought something to mind. I've always wondered why the 50 yard line seats, the best in the house, are not the ones fitted with the theater style seats. Seems logical that section E, especially lower section E (where I sit) would have the theater type seats instead of the section next to section E (section D).
  15. Great photos. Does the trailer belong to the Green Brigade ? You know, except for the fact that the field is 40 miles from the stands, Fouts looks nice from a distance. I never really notice the carvings along the top of the stadium. I wonder if those could be removed and used in some way at the new stadium ? 16. Thanks Rick.
  17. Tackle eligible ?
  18. With as good a band as we have at NT, why do we EVER need recorded music ?
  19. I didn't watch the interview with Patterson or Bennett. Did Hanson make a cleaver crack about them as well ? Thanks Boise Join the Mean Green Club Buy Season Tickets GO MEAN GREEN
  20. Vote early and often (it wouldn't let me vote twice).
  21. Does anyone know if umbrells can be brought into Owens-Memorial Stadium ? Thanks Boise Join the Mean Green Club GO MEAN GREEN
  22. Party guest: "Ben, I've got just one word for you." Benjamin: "Yes sir." Party Guest: "Just one word." Benjamin: "Yes sir." Party Guest: "Plastics." Benjamin: " Sir ?" Party Guest: "Plastics." Benjamin: Plastics, sir ?" Party Guest: Plastics." Benjamin: "Thank you, sir."
  23. I'm there with my NT Alum wife. I told her if she didn't buy us matching GREEN polos by Saturday, that I would make the fashion choice. We need to find some Mean Green Fans to hang with before the SMU game. I'm no prize, but my wife is very nice. We'll bring whatever. Any invitations ? Thanks Boise Join the Mean Green Club Buy Season Tickets GO MEAN GREEN
  24. George S. Patton (I thought he was dead ? ) from the SMU board estimated there were 700 at the scrmmage, and that the parking wasn't bad either. I'm not so good at SMU math. What does that translate to in terms of real butts in seats ? Thanks Boise Join the Mean Green Club Buy Season Tickets GO MEAN GREEN
  25. Of course they were in the New Orleans Bowl. The New Orleans Bowl was held in Lafayette last year, but it was the New Orleans Bowl. If we had been there, I promise you we wuld have claimed it to be "The" New Orleans Bowl. Thanks Boise Join the Mean Green Club Buy Season Tickets GO MEAN GREEN
