"Terrible Sightline Stadium" I love it.

I went in the Drug Emporium after Church yesterday (Sun) and the wife unit pointed out some North Texas tiles (cosaters) in 3 different patterns. There were some from zero U, Texas, A & M as well, but nore had more than one design other than NT. They also had some plug in night lights (like for a hall or bathroom) with the NT logo. We're taking over. GO MEAN GREEN

I've already made hotel reservations and have purchased tickets with my season ticket package.

The heavy duty helicopter lifting the bleachers to the new site and the "green" stadium are excellent ideas. The helicopter would be expensive, but very fast and would eliminate the problem of complete dissembly of the bleachers to get them under the Interstate. And the "green" stadium in today's environment, both political and practical, just makes sense. Who wouldn't want to come see a "green" and recycled stadium. ? Who's a name brand recycle corporation that would like a permanent billboard on two major Interstates ? Go Green GO MEAN GREEN

What a good idea.

I'm not sure I like the idea, but how about replacing the old blue plastic from the Texas Stadium seats with new green (mean green) plastic ? Whenever a government enity is involved, the cost will always go up. Private business is more likely to try to "recycle" the old bleachers. Government will tell us that it's cheaper to just replace with new. And by the way, there is nothing curved about the aluminum bleachers at Fouts. When I'm an old old man, and we finally get around to building a new stadium, I wonder if some of the "new" aluminum bleachers could be reassembled and moved to the new stadium ? Otherwise, what would we do with them ? I guess we could take them to Fulton's and sell them by the pound. And speaking of recycling, how about tearing down the "alumni" side of Fouts and leaving the track and the "student" side of the stadium as a track and field venue ? We don't have one otherwise. Arkansas State is open Nov. 15 as are we. The funny thing is that the Red Wolves have 3 (that's three) open dates in the '08 season. They also play one game after our Nov. 22 meeting. Seems to me that both schools would be better off to play on Nov. 15 and avoid a game on Thanksgiving weekend. GO MEAN GREEN Beat the Red Wolves and everyone else.

I think if there is an area that only a woman should be considered, it's for a women's sport. I'm sure there have to be lots of qualified and successful female coaches available and I would like to limit our serch to a woman. I even think that we should look for female refs for the women's games. Let the firing begin. GO MEAN GREEN

With regard to NMNSHLD's (what does that mean ? ) comment about NTTV not having the manpower to cut highlights, I would think that manpower is exactly what NTTV has plenty of. I can't believe that every RTvF major is busy and unable to help with getting information, in this case NT basketball, to local stations. Something they will do in their careers. Regardless as to how the RTvF students feel about their University or basketball in general, this is good experience for them. And that would transfer to good exposure for North Texas. Who has the rights to the name "Southwest Conference ?" I can't imagine that the trademark is available to anyone. GO SUN BELT GO MEAN GREEN

I too would like to play SMU, RICE, Houston, Tulsa, etc. each year be it in the Sun Belt, CUSA, or a new conference. As far as a better conference, I'm not sure that CUSA is really a better conference from top to bottom than the Sun Belt (see win-loss records). However, we keep telling each other that we are not in a good conference. And by the way, as far as drawing better athletes, we, the 'Belt went 4-4 against CUSA with the athletes we've got. So with a 4-4 split, is CUSA really better ? Or are we and others just used to saying that it is ? GO SUN BELT (our home conference until it's not ) GO MEAN GREEN

What was the win-loss record between the Sun Belt vs. CUSA in '07 ?

My hope is that Johnny Jones stays here at North Texas and continues to demonstrate class for OUR University. We've done well, but we still have a long way to go. I don't think L.S.U. needs any help from North Texas. They seem to have done pertty well on their own. GO MEAN GREEN

I like Campbell's idea of the hotel in the end zone. But is there enough room between the proposed stadium and the current Radison Hotel ? Seems to me that we could use the hotel rooms as luxury boxes on game days and regular rooms overlooking the stadium on non-game days. Perhaps a wing on the current Radison Hotel. Radison Stadium ? With the possible exception of the Big 12 (13 ? ), what other conference would you rather be in ? CUSA, despite SMU, makes the most sense.
