  1. That's an interesting photo of Abner Haynes. The old Dallas Texans's colors were red and white. Has Abner been a victim of Photo shop. or is that a college era photo used by the Texans before they had a photo op with Abner ? Oh...I like the green pants. "Singing Glory to the Green" GO MEAN GREEN
  2. The stand up-sit down thing is a problem. Just for fun... If you brought your Mom and/or Dad to the game, and their seats were directly behind your seats, would you stand the entire game. If they complained, would you ask them to move to some crappy seats ? If you brought your new girlfriend to the game, and the only seat available was behind you, would you stand for the entire game ? Would you ask her to move somewhere else ? I stand for much of the game myself. And when Tim Crouch says. "THIIIIIRRRRDDDDD DOWN...." I stand up. Isn't that what we're supposed to do ? "That's good for another Mean Green 'First Down.'" Can that even be done sitting ? It seems to me, it's kinda a seat-of-the-pants thing. We stand on big plays. But every play could be a big play. So when shuld we sit ? Or stand ? GO MEAN GREEN
  3. OK. Here's another one for you. "The name on the back of the jersey is not as important as the name on the front of the jersey." Just play the game. If you do a good job, the other team will know who you are. GO MEAN GREEN
  4. The coaches stuff looks great. Did you see the jacket RV had on last night ? MEANGREENGEAR has nothing except hoodies and "Helwig" era golf towels. I'm sure I'm wrong, but I swear good looking clothing like the coaches wear would sell if given a chance. I wonder if the coaches would like to have a "garage sale" after the season ?
  5. I bet the line is NT plus 30 And I hope we win straight up.
  6. This happened at a critical point in the drive. I thought I saw him grab to top of his jersey and hold it up toward the visitor's bench as if to say, "I'm number 4. I'll be here all night." Well, after he was flagged, and Tim Crouch announced his name over the PA, we all knew his name and his number. There's no "ME" in "TEAM."
  7. I could tell somethig was up when Riley slammed his helmet down on the training table. but then, he sat down on the end of a bench in the center of the field, and was surrounded by players trying to block the view of the fans, and whoever else, of what was being done to riley's shoulder (?). After this makeshift huddle broke up, Riley walked around and shook player's hands as they came off the field. Point is, he never acted like a guy with a shoulder injury. No sling, didn't take off his pads, and encouraged the fans to make noise. I've never seen anything like it. Tough loss. GO MEAN GREEN
  8. It's warm. It's our team. It's a little wet. Just like when you take a shower. You'll dry. Go to the game. GO MEAN GREEN
  9. Holy moly... There's a Mean Green Football game tomorrow. GO MEAN GREEN
  10. One of my favorite things to do during football season is to visit the opponent's fan board. Sometimes they're thoughtful, sometimes, they're angry, but always they are fun. Looking just now at GMG.COM, one would think that the OHIO game is the only game to be played in the nation this week. Of the first 18 topics, almost all of them are discussing this week's game against OHIO. Or, how we did last week and how that should effect this week's game. Everyone on GMG.COM is talking about OHIO. Contrast that with a visit to BOBCATATTACK.COM. On the first page, of all the titles, North Texas is mentioned once. They talk about their QBs, their coaches, even a comment from a UCONN fan. But nothing about NT. If a stranger were to read GMG, he'd come away believing that this was the biggest game of the year. If he read BOBCATATTACK, he'd think they had an off week. I'm anxious for our new friends from OHIO to come to Denton. I know they'll be treated well and I know they'll have a good time. But at the same time, a little good-natured banter would certainly add to the days leading up to kick off. Welcome Bobcats, but GO MEAN GREEN
  11. Cheer for your school. Remember who signs your check, but always cheer for your school. GO MEAN GREEN
  12. Also note golf balls with the Helwig era logo. And why is it so hard to find a polo type shirt with a curent NT logo ? Or a crew neck sweatshirt ?
  13. I really like the Riley to Cam handoff/fake handoff up the middle. Looking back at the interception for touchdown that was called back, I'm not sure the "block-in-the-back" call wasn't because the QB twisted around trying to get an angle. But the video is superb. You've got a real talent here. I think I'll watch it again. GO MEAN GREEN
  14. Good for La La. Notice how many parking spaces are still available despite what appears to be a sell out. I hope we can do as well saturday. GO MEAN GREEN
  15. Great pictures. The pictures of the stands shows the importance of wearing our colors to the games. Not white. Not grey. GREEN. GO MEAN GREEN
  16. When was the lasst time Oklahoma started 0-1 and North Texas started 1-0 ?
  17. Great for the Sun Belt I hope we do as well next week. GO MEAN GREEN
  18. You mean if SMU came back to win ?
  19. A battle of the Titans. I'm listening and cheering for the 'Jacks. I get a kick out of the All Pro Foundation ads. Call 800 MEAN GREEN. Pround UNT alums. GO 'Jacks
  20. Vizza who ?
  21. It was wall to wall Mean Green at the Pourhouse. Lots of people in both rooms, but really rowdy in the auditorium. They did a good job. I hope for the same when the team travels to Alabama. GO MEAN GREEN
  22. I'm there bringing the wife unit. Do they sell Kernal Korn at the Pourhouse ? GO MEAN GREEN
  23. Is the screen spoken of in the article the screen mounted on the truck that's been driving around Denton for the last week or so ? Double sided ? Joe
  24. "Watching at my house with fraternity brothers and wives. " ? ? ? How many wives have you got ?
