i remember several years ago, we were staying at a hotel in Austin. The front desk staff ALL were wearing North Texas jerseys. I don't know where they went to school or where they WANTED to go to school, but somebody had the sense to know who was paying the freight that weekend. GO MEAN GREEN

I got my 2010 Season tickets Friday. They're beautiful. Each ticket has a standout player from a different era and shows not only the helmet North Texas would have used during that time, but the helmet that game's opponent would used during that era. Each has the Fout's Field Final Season emblem on it. I can't wait. GO MEAN GREEM

As much as I'd like to be in a conference with local college SMU, and failing that, a conference with Houston, i agree. This would leave us as the bell cow in the DFW area and still able to play conference games agains regional teams Tulsa, Rice, Tulane, and El Paseo. Not my favorite senerio, but one I'd accept. I would assume Abner's most embarrassing moment in sports was when he won the coin toss in the Dallas Texans / Houston Oilers AFL championship game. Despite winning the toss, Abner chose to kick off in the sudden death "5th" quarter. Dallas went on to win anyway, but I recall thinking the game was lost.

I've always been impressed with the passion I hear in Rick's voice. While he is well compensated, I think believe he wakes up each morning thinking of ways to make North Texas Athletics better and wants nothing but a high level of success for our players, students, and coaches. If we knocked off Clemson or K State, every sports program in the nation would be talking about it. Better Clemson than K State,because we'd get notice early in the season. But a win over K State would be great. A bowl game that we would go to/win would be the New Orleans Bowl or something similar. Not a lot of press. Having said that, I'd be thrilled with either win or a bowl game. GOOOOOOO MEAN GREEN

Looks like KRAM was right about Houston. As far as going 0-2, that is a possibility whoever we play in the first two games. The only way to avoid that, is not lose more than once within the first two weeks. Simple. Good call KRAM

I live in Denton and I'm seeing more and more North Texas stuff around town. Mostly college aged. I wear my NT shirts a lot. I don't hear caps or hats. Sometimes I'm asked if I work at NT or if I'm a coach. My favorite thing to do when I see someone with another college shirt on is to ask when they were at that college. Usually the response is just, "I just like (name of college)." And what have you done to promote your University today ?

I like Varsity's apple green/dark green combo. As far as black, that didn't work so well last time. Especially the socks. Black makes it look like my dad playing with me after work. "Singing glory to the green Singing glory to the white."

point of information, please. Are you saying, that RV said one game with an attendance of 25,000 is equal in revenue to a "money game", or, that we need to average 25,000 for the season to equal the revenue of one money game ? One game with 25,000 in attendance is hard. Five (or six) games with an attendance of 25,00 would be very hard.
