    Why did she leave TCU ? She was getting lots of minutes and was the 3rd leading scorer on a team in the Big 12 next season. I'm glad she's here, but North Texas was here when she signed to play at TCU, albeit with Shanice Stephens as coach at the time.

    Many of the "old guard" schools couldn't wait to hit the door when given an opportunity. I'd like to think Conference USA will thrive with members that are glad to be members. GO MEAN GREEN

    I loved it. More importantly, my wife loved it. We got there game day about 90 minutes before kickoff. We had a really good meal and plenty of it. Non-alcohol drinks are included with the meal. There is a cash bar open early and for about an hour after the game. Rest rooms close by and a view of the action that can't be beat. We were invited to sit in a luxury suite one game. I was very grateful, but I perfer my seat in the Club. I know there are still seats available. Seats in the Club require a stadium bond, a mininum gift to the Mean Green Club of $500, plus season tickets. All very worthwhile. Expecially for a championship Sun Belt season and Conference USA crowns to come. GO MEAN GREEN

    Former Big 12 acting commissioner Chuck Neinas told USA Today Monday that the Big East is no longer a power conference, and consequently, shouldn't be paid like one. * * * There you have it. I really like our new conference home. Conference USA. I'm going to go out and buy some new curtains.

    Speaking of Coach Fry, if he had had us stay in the Missouri Valley Conference, we'd have been a charter member of C-USA. And I think North Texas has always been a primary target of other teams in the Sun Belt.
