  1. Since he's asking for a ticket, I guess we should not expect much in the way of financial help from Lance.
  2. I've been to every home game since 1890.
  3. I would hate to think that a former scholarship athlete hoping for a win over his own school would ever be considered for the North Texas Hall of Fame. One of my sons went to OU for a while before transfering to and graduating from North Texas. My other son graduated from A&M. Despite the amount of money I spent at A&M and that I mis-spent at OU I would never, never, never cheer for either school over North Texas. My A&M son was an officer in the Corps of Cadets, but if North Texas played A&M in anything and I was present, I'd wear my green proudly. GO MEAN GREEN
  4. Drex has the correct answer. If one is a scholarship athlete on a varsity program, that program, that school should be "your school." If not, that's a shame. Perhaps that athlete should have tried to walk on to their prefered program and hoped for a scholarship later rather than going to a school that believed in them enough to offer a scholarship. If Josh doesn't want to cheer tor North Texas, fine. But he shold never rah-rah for an opponent of North Texas. And when "Hall of Fame" time comes around, I hope the selectors remember who Josh's favorite team really is. GO MEAN GREEN
  5. Thanks Grand. And that's OK. Then we don't go on the road to provide a "sure win" for some other team. I would have rather sat in my seat at Apogee Saturday night and played a D ll school than sell Louisiana State a win. If I ran the zoo, the price is 2mil or the Mean Green stays home. GO MEAN GREEN
  6. If we continue in the direction that I hope we are heading, we won't be such an attractive opponent soon. We need to charge more. $2 million to play a game with LSU or OU or similar. We get a huge payday or we schedule a Division 1-AA ( I know) school to open with. NT gets a win, the new students start their college career expecting a win and the fans get 6 or 7 home games. GO MEAN GREEN
  7. North Texas nearly spanked K-State season before last. And NT didn't even have a permanent coach. Make sure Sams gets plenty of rest. He won't get any come game time. GO MEAN GREEN
  8. Look to see Garret Gilbert at McNeese next season.
  9. Yep. Checked TSU-SM and found no DD. He is listed as back at Memphis as OC and RBI coach.
  10. The greatest upset in college football history
  11. It was probably raining "cats and dogs", the recruit was soaking wet, and the coach gave him a dry shirt and a ride home.
  12. The "big name" opponent always does a play action pass against us first play. It's as if we spot them 6 points immediately. Count on it. Or better yet, silence those striped cat fans with a pick 6. Let them spot us 6 points right off the bat. GO MEAN GREEN No really GOOOOOOOOOOOO MEAN GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN
  13. He handles himself like a pro (traditional sense of the word) in the endzone. "I've been here before. I intend to be here again." Dignified. Go Lance GO MEAN GREEN
  14. Play the game Saturday as scheduled, or move it to Apogee, or forfit the game. I'd rather beat LSU but a win by forfit would have the same effect. 1-0 GO MEAN GREEN
  15. How hard would it be to have a "little table" from the Union at Apogee the night/day of the game. Students that didn't get to swipe their ID card early could could do so at the gate.
  16. I've always wondered why schools don't cover up the "DOUGLAS" on the lower back protector and replace it with "MEAN GREEN."
  17. He sounds like a very bright young man that took a really bad turn. His profile says he started as a freshman at Duke. I'm sorry for this player's family and for Tulane.
  18. Is this a "money game" for Texas Southern ? Are they coming to Denton for a big payday ? GO MEAN GREEN
  19. Your games look very professional. The name really bothers me. GO MEAN GREEN
  20. Southern Meth is 85 and Texas Tech is 86

  22. KRAM's entire garage is painted maroon and he walks his collie dog each morning before sun up. He's been a closet Aggie for years.
  23. Good for Lance. But at Brookshire's in Denton, the North Texas wall size schedule iis bigger than the Cowboys wall size schedule.
  24. McNulty. Somehow, he gets in. QB under center, fakes to running back, scores off tackle from the 15. McNulty scoring the first TD of the season becomes a North Texas tradition.
