I've always wanted to see a game at Hattiesburg, Mississippi. It's a long way. 526 miles according to yahooMaps. I've never been there but I'm hoping they have something akin to the game day experience found at Ole Miss or Mississippi State. Southern Miss had a terrible season last year. Their "Anyone, anyplace" mantra caught up to them last season. I hope we can catch them while they are having a "non-Southern Miss" like season. GO MEAN GREEN

I really really really want to see Tulsa stay in CUSA with us. I could see a real rivalry here. Tulsa is a great city and only a 4 or 5 hour drive from Denton. We had history with them in the old MVC. I hope we can begin again with Tulsa. GO MEAN GREEN

The only "stylized" helmets I can think of offhand are Iowa, Boise State, and Kansas State. The Fry era "stylized eagle" was one of the most recognized helmets of it's day because of style and color. But back to the topic. If, for example, North Texas were to go to a lime green pants with kelly green jersey, would that meet the NCAA requirement ? And, if we were to play at Eastern Washington or Boise, could we wear all green ? GO MEAN GREEN

For once, the conference dominos seem to have fallen in North Texas' direction. I'm happy with CUSA. I wish Tulane would stay and I hope that Tulsa will stay. And I wish Houston was back. As far as any other school formerly in CUSA, I'm glad they're gone. GO MEAN GREEN

I have been very disapointed with this season's Mean Green basketball. With all the concerns Coach Benford must have, I'm impressed that he has the nerve to still be a coach and to "sit down" his most visable player. GO MEAN GREEN

I just read that Florida Atlantic is close to signing a deal for $5 mil to allow naming rights to a private prison company. This is what troubles me about the Benford hire. I understood that RV would only consider head coaches with previous head coach experience. It seems to me that we (the collective "we") get into more trouble when we don't obey our own rules. Maybe this will work out. GO MEAN GREEN

I'll hate myself by the end of the season, but I had us winning against Idaho, Tulane, S. Miss, UTEP, and UTSA. That's 5. With a 50-50 shot against Ohio and/or Rice, we should win 6 or 7. Pass the green Kool-ade please. GO MEAN GREEN
