  1. Or drop all the malcontents and start a pure walk-on program with guys that want to play. Beat LaTech. GO MEAN GREEN
  2. I want to know where the photo of the LaTech Dawg was taken with all the fans in the background. I know it was not taken at last year's bowl game. Beat LaTech. then beat everybody else. GO MEAN GREEN
  3. I like "We Mean Green..." and "...Who left the dawgs out" I hope our posters will cut Scotty Young some slack. The kid just wants to play football. It didn't work at TTech, couldn't get on at North Texas and he's having a tough time at LaTech. But at least he wanted to play here. I wish him well. Beat LaTech GO MEAN GREEN
  4. I would think that the best "trick or treatin' will be at Apogee Halloween night. I bet there will be TV cameras recording the ghosts and gobblins (what is a gobblin ?) and lot of tailgaters with fists full of candy to hand out. I don't have Halloween aged kids anymore but if I did, we'd haunt Apogee Haloween night. I'm getting scared just talking about it. GO MEAN GREEN
  5. Of course, 1-AA. And as for I Da Ho, it is a friendly state with a fine flagship university. And yes, all photos have been destroyed. Beat LaTech. Then beat the balance of the schedule. GO MEAN GREEN
  6. We were also ranked #1 in the nation in division 1-A. The only time other than golf that NT has ever been ranked tops in the nation. But winning CUSA West would be better. Let's start this week by beating LaTech. GO MEAN GREEN
  7. I appreciate the article. However, no one has mentioned that within one hour of kickoff there was a very hard rain. I suspect that lots of potential attendees decided not to chance the weather and stayed home. Had we had a dry day, I would like to think we would have cracked 25 K. Beat LaTech GO MEAN GREEN
  8. M<y favorite play was the Trice punt return. I love it when a palyer really shows that he's studying and paying attention to not only his specific job, but is aware of everyone else's job. Good heads up plap. Beat La Tech. And everybody else. GO MEAN GREEN
  9. The driver that picked us up at the airport told us that he is a graduate of Tulane and that his wife is a grad of North Texas. GO MEAN GREEN
  10. How can we find out the instructor's name ? GO MEAN GREEN
  11. I contacted the Denton South Rotary Club, the Club that provides US flags in my (and KRAMS) neighborhood. My proposal was to have one of the youth groups I work with to put NT Battle Flags in the holders already in place by the Rotary Club. At that time, they were willing to give me their contact list and let us use their holders (pipes in the ground) whenever national holiday and NT game days don't conflict. So my evil plan was to buy one Battle Flag ( I have lots available now at Denton Bicycle Center-serving Denton Cyclists for 43 years-940)387-9314), go door-to-door using the Rotary Club list, and see how many subscriptions we could sell. Then, with money in hand for one year, order the number of flags needed, and place flags on home game weekends. the first year would pay for the capital investment, succeeding years would be be pure profit, less expenses (gas, repairs ?). As to the theft issue KRAM mentioned, the Rotary guys I have spoken with said theft was a problem the first year but not so much since then. But a NT Battle Flag might have a higher "theft appeal" than a US Flag. I would like to discuss this more with anyone that would like to talk about it. I still think it's a good idea, but it will take a non-profit group with a "years at a time" commitment to make it work. Lemme know. GO MEAN GREEN
  12. I sure wish they'd re-consider their decision to move to the American Airlines Conference. Tulsa is a really great city. GO MEAN GREEN
  13. Just make sure your child chews their hot dog at least 27 times before trying to swallow. We can't count on Brelan Chancellor coming up into the stands to revive a young fan. GO MEAN GREEN
  14. It looks black. No wonder our fan base is confused. GO MEAN GREEN (not black)
  15. I hang around the Club for a while after game, but the first thing I do when I get back to the car is turn on the post game show. I think it would be fun to have the show broadcast from the Alumni Pavillion while traffic lets up. Perhaps listen to some HSOs from Mean Green fans and maybe invite some opponent's fans ( if they're civil) to give their assessment of Apogee. I won't be there, but I'll listen. GO MEAN GREEN

That pretty green helmet sure looks good in that shot. There's no question who's helmet it is. GO MEAN GREEN
  17. DEPENDS seems to be a word frequently used with KRAM. I'm sure that's just a coincidence. GO MEAN GREEN
  18. And you "just realized you were in Utah" ? You've got to keep taking those meds no matter how good you feel. Have a safe trip home. Where ever that is in your mind. GO MEAN GREEN
  19. Amit Patel, the manager at the Tilted Kilt in Lewisville said he wanted to have the Mean Green faithful at his place. I don't know what's going on there Saturday but I bet it's worth a look. NT by 6 GO MEAN GREEN
  20. Boston College. I haven't heard from them in years. NT over Georgia by 6 GO MEAN GREEN
  21. The price to be called a cupcake should be 2mil. If these "big programs" want a "sure win", they will pay. And why do we give Georgia 90 days to pay ? Cupcakes for sale. 90 days-Same as cash. A very difficult game to win, but NT by 6. GO MEAN GREEN
  22. Get 6 wins as soon as possible. After that, only good things happen. NT by 6 GO MEAN GREEN
  23. Rain might help nutralize the crowd a bit. NT by 6 GO MEAN GREEN
  24. A win Saturday will make our 6 win season much easier to reach. NT by 6. GO MEAN GREEN
  25. One of the few recognized symbols we have is the NT Battle Flag. It's been used for years. It's been a great symbol for us for years. The intention is to look like the Texas flag, with Mean Green colors. Get it...north TEXAS flag. Leave it alone. GO MEAN GREEN
