Admitedly, I don't go in the huge majority of the buildings on the NT campus. But when I do, I see a neat and clean building. I have never set foot in any building at NT that I would have described as "crumbling." Crumbling where ? As stated, I don't go into the basements or into the attics but they all seem in good repair to the untrained eye. The oldest building I can think of is the Auditorium Building. It was old when I started there in 1969 but it was always neat and clean. Not crumbling. Since then, I have been to the Auditorium Building for a good many lectures and concerts and I never thought it was about to fall down. So where are the observers finding glaring defects in the Art, Biology, and Auditorium Buildings ? Has the Maintanence Department been contacted with specific problems ? If not, why not ? I choose to support the Athletic Department. It's just more fun and I have traveled to many out of town venues I had not seen otherwise. I could have gone to all of these places, but Athletics actually motivated me to pony up the money to buy a aiplane ticket and rent a hotel room. Other than that, Beat UTSA. I can't believe it. I made plans to be out of town December 7. It never occured to me that we might be in a championship game that weekend. So, if, if, if, we host the CUSA Championship game December 7, I will have 2 tickets on the first row, 50 yard line, in the Club Level plus an up close Green parking pass to sell. It's way too early to even think about this, but think about it anyway. These might be the very best seats at Apogee. And if we play the Championship game on the road, I can get great tickets for that game as well. But for now, Beat UTSA. Then, beat everybody else. GO MEAN GREEN

It just occured to me...and if it's been pointed out before, please forgive me...but, North Texas is celebrating 100 years of football. UTSA hasn't played 100 games of football. Beat UTSA. Then, beat everybody else. GO MEAN GREEN

In the "Also receiving votes" last week, Ball State got 7 votes. NT beat Ball State. If we win out, I bet we'll see NT in the top 25. Until then, Beat UTSA. Then, beat everybody else. GO MEAN GREEN

And if we win out the season, Coach MaC has an 18-18 record at NT. it took Hayden Fry into his 4th season to break even. Beat UTSA. Then, beat everybody else. GO MEAN GREEN

I think the greatest risk to Coach MaC staying is attendance. He's the highest paid employee on campus at apps. $450,000. And I think he likes what he does and where he does it. Attendance numbers seem to frustrate him. This is an area that WE can contribute to. Beat UTSA. then, beat everybody else. GO MEAN GREEN

I would like to play Ohio, Tulane and Georgia again. At the time we played Georgia, we were just on the verge of finding ourselves. Too bad the score on the day we play is the only thing that matters. For now, Beat UTSA. Then, beat everybody else. GO MEAN GREEN

Tulsa is a great city and the University of Tulsa is a pretty campus. The last time we went there, we met lots of really nice Tulsa fans. kSkelly Stadium will remind you of Fouts and make Apogee seem even nicer. I may go back, however, I am convinced that when I go on the road to watch NT, we lose. I may take one for the team and stay home. No decision yet. For now, Beat UTSA. Then, beat everybody else. I heard a special mention this morning on KLUV radio. Unfortunately, right after they said, "Go Mean Green," the DJ also announced our game was AT UTEP. I didn't listen long enough to see if they made a correction or not. Beat UTEP. Then, beat everybody else. GO MEAN GREEN

The Florida State game that finished in the snow in about '68 (?). (Note: We scheduled FLORIDA STATE as a homecoming opponent. This shows far Florida State has come since that time. NT can do that same thing. Another memorable HC game was in the rain against Southern Mississippi in a pouring rain storm. This Southern Miss team was coached by Bobby Collins the season before he took over at Southern Meth. Beat UTEP. Then, beat everybody else. GO MEAN GREEN

I'll never forget the silence that his 60 (?) yard run brouoght to the U. of Colorado crowd. I'm pleased to know that JaMario is still around and attending games. Beat UTEP. Then beat everybody else. GO MEAN GREEN
