I know everyone is fired up about the HOD Bowl game, but I'd like to see the GOMEANGREEN.COM family of posters come together and put an entry in the 2014 St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dallas. St.P Day is Monday March 15. If we start thinking about this now, we can get entered, and bring out some green and maybe some HOD posters to decorate cars or trucks or maybe a cool green bus. Just a thought at this point but I think it would be fun to make this an annual event. GO MEAN GREEN

Any shade of green is green. White, black, grey, or pink is never green. MEAN GREEN-WEAR GREEN

That looks black. From across the Cotton Bowl or on television, people won't know who'you're cheering for.

Ask for GREEN North Texas gear for Christmas.

The beer decision, when it's made, will enable vendors to sell ONLY on the alum side with no carry back to the student side. All beer sales will cease at the end of the 3rd quarter. The new president will make this call. President Rawlings felt since the new guy would have to live with it, that he (the new pres), should make the call.

The very cold weather possibility poses a challenge. Perhaps a "way too big 'T' shirt" over a parka. Just as long as the color exposed to the world and bowl officials is green. An interesting observation earlier, "the importance of this cannot be overstated." Wear GREEN Beat UNLV GO MEAR GREEN

I think it's important that North Texas fans wear green January 1. Not black, not white, not grey, but green. Let the bowl officials this year know who is who. And for that matter, let bowl officials for future bowls know how well the Mean Green travel. On television, or from across the field, no one can read who's team you're supporting. Wear GREEN so there's no question. Beat UNLV GO MEAN GREEN

Good food, great view, quick get-a-way to the very nice restroom. Cash bar and up close parking pass. I'm in the last year of my 5 year payout (I'll be finished by the first game next season). The Club is the best thing I've done with NT football. Beat UNLV GO MEAN GREEN

There are good things cooking in the DCTA New Year's Day project. Stay tuned. Maybe we can still ride the MEAN GREEN LINE New Year's Day. GO MEAN GREEN

I would suggest that between now and January 1, that we refer to that route in Dallas County as the MEAN GREEN LINE. GO MEAN GREEN

I contacted NT alum and Mean Green fan Council Member Pete Kamp. She said she'd contact the president of the DCTA about adding train service for this important day. Do what you can. Call 'em. GO MEAN GREEN

Call 'em ! ! !

OIK. So let's change that. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Not only for NT but for the DCTA train service. Call 'em. Call 'em and tell them that you would ride the train to and from the Cotton Bowl. The DCTA can be reached at (972) 221-4600. I just called. And by the way, the "sold-on-hold" recording makes mention of riding the train to a "screaming Eagles" game. I asked them to fix that as well. Beat UNLV. GO MEAN GREEN

Please forgive me, but why can't we take the train to the bowl game ? Does it not run on New Year's Day ? This has been my plan all along. Beat UNLV GO MEAN GREEN

That is some bunch of boring music this show uses as an intro/exit. And, a female athletic director. Just a little out of the ordinary with a school that fields a football team. Beat UNLV GO MEAN GREEN

Thoughts on UNT vs. Navy in Ft. Worth? (Armed Forces Bowl)
greenjoe replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Heart of Dallas. I haven't been to the Historic Cotton Bowl in decades. Not since NT hosted Oklahoma State during the fair. It was a big event with a calvacade of country music stars after the game and of course, the fair. I was not familar with Oklahoma State before that game and I was surprised at how well Okla St. traveled. Let's go back to Dallas. Beat whoever GO MEAN GREEN -
Since the presumption is that NT will go to a bowl game somewhere, is the football team continuing to practice ? And what level of practice ? I read of a number of bowl games speaking kindly of the Mean Green but if they're practicing now, will practice continue until a bowl game or cease if, perish the thought, NT sits home for bowl season ? I've got my bags packed or my toll tag paid up if we go to the Heart of Dallas Bowl. Beat whoever GO MEAN GREEN
