I called the Cotton Bowl Stadium.. Spoke with the Assistant manager and he told me that there were seat backs but ONLY on the home side of the field. North Texas is on the visitors side of the field. The belter side, he told me for television. According to my contact, seat backs can be brought into the stadium. He also wanted to know about the whole "Mean Green" and "Eagles" thing. I set him straight and told him about the Mean Joe Green misnomer for free. Beat UNLV GO MEAN GREEN

I got my DCTA transit pass this morning. It was my first visit to the DCTA depot. I got there a few minutes after 6:00 this morning (12-26). Easy. The Transit lady told me food was not allowed. Drinks are OK but must be covered. This is going to introduce DCTA train service to many new customers. Like me. I can't wait. Beat UNLV GO MEAN GREEN

I think the buffet is very nice. White linen tablecloth and napkins. Hospitality students practicing to be food and hotel professionals, soft drinks included and a cash bar just inside the door. Plus the best view of the Mean Green in Apogee. I took the 5 year payout option. I was the second person to sign up so I only have 2 more payments to go and I'm done. The best part for me is that my wife is really on board with NT football. It's not just going to a football game. It's a real elegant afternoon/evening. I'd do it again. GO MEAN GREEN

I just got off the phone with DCTA (at least with the nice lady that answered the phone). She told me I must have a game ticket to pick up a transit pass. One game ticket to one transit pass no proxy. I can't even pick up my wife's ticket. I get what they're doing-preventing someone from coming and grabbing 20 passes that might not be used, however, one person-one transit pass seems a bit rigid. Anyway, I'm glad they're doing this and I'm going to be happy, happy, happy. GO MEAN GREEN

I went to the NT ticket office between about noon and 1. There was a steady stream of what I would guess were students. Not all students, but mostly.

I heard a HoD commercial on the way home tonight(f). It asked if you like football ? Do you like Dallas ? Then you should go to the HoD Bowl. No mention of North Texas or UNLV. Just go to the bowl because it's the bowl. GO MEAN GREEN

I'm sure you're right 93-98. I just Googled Dallas St. Patrick's Day Parade 2014. It came up with 11:00am March 15, on Greenville Ave. Whenever it it, nothing says 'green' like North Texas Mean Green. Let's plan to make a Mean Green statement in the parade. GO MEAN GREEN

I just got word that the DCTA and DART are going to run 2 free trains to the HOD in the morning of January 1 and 2 after the game. Fans will have to have a game ticket in hand AND they will have to get a free TRANSIT PASS to ride. Transit Passes will be available starting Dec 26 at the DCTA ticket office or at the North TExas ticket office. There will be more on this very soon. YIPPEE GO MEAN GREEN

I know everyone is fired up about the HOD Bowl game, but I'd like to see the GOMEANGREEN.COM family of posters come together and put an entry in the 2014 St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dallas. St.P Day is Monday March 15. If we start thinking about this now, we can get entered, and bring out some green and maybe some HOD posters to decorate cars or trucks or maybe a cool green bus. Just a thought at this point but I think it would be fun to make this an annual event. GO MEAN GREEN
