The best name of the night...Eddy Machette. The Club Level at Apogee was packed last evening. Great food and I sat with some Mean Green fans I had not met. Good fun. Coach MaC and Rick V. stated that NT was not just going to Austin for a paycheck. The paycheck is important, as Rick stressed, but its better to get a check and a win (have we ever won a money game ?). I spoke with Coach MaC later and he also said that he didn't care about the pay day. They wanted to play and beat the horns. It never occurred to me that the visiting band had to pay for their seats. Does the Athletic Dept charge our opponents bands ? I think in years past that the Green Brigade bused down and arrived just before game time and left for home right after the game. What changed to make this year different ? Captain Nemo's is next door to the Center for the Visual Arts and across the street from the Central Fire Station. It's in the location where Hoochie's Oyster House was (Hoochie's is now on Hickory @ industrial). There was a nice article on Nemo's in Sunday's D R-C. The original owner, Milton Fette is back at the helm and I can't wait to get another steak, cheese, and mushrooms. The original Nemo's was on Eagle @ Bernard. Lots of action on and around the square.
