Going backwards ?

They don’t have a luncheon planned at DATCU, do they ?

It’s leaves from a pier (not being smart. There are a lot of piers in NYC). And it was fun. When we took it, it was cold and rainy. We had to stay inside there and back. But a great trip regardless.

You’re right. The Athletic Director should be dressed better as well. I bet the pilot was wearing a tie.

Nice looking family. Yes. They should have dressed better to make a positive first impression. Fashion police ? No. Just good business.

OK. Maybe. But I bet they don’t have a WV themed fire engine.

Good for him. It’s hard to turn down $3million dollars I don’t care who you are. This is reality now at schools like North Texas. Good fans or not, money talks and it speaks loudly. Hopefully we support the new guy better than we supported the last 2 guys. GO MEAN GREEN

What’s for lunch ?

We did the train and a cab to the fort and next game took the ferry. Both great trips. The ferry leaves very very very early. But tickets from North Texas when you buy your season tickets. Easy.

The only employees I’m upset with are those at the Athletic Department that didn’t see this coming and allowed it to happen. But now, water under the bridge. we beat Okie State so on to the Anteaters !

I’ve said this before…We don’t know how to handle success. When we are successful, we pee our pants in excitement and then do something stupid.

I’m guessing they had chicken. A couple of vegetables Salad and desert. Coffee or tea ? Big crowd ? Humorous speaker ?

And/or…Why not hold the luncheon at the McNatt-Loveless Indoor Practice Facility ? I went to a gala there (I wore a tux !) to raise money for the Athletic Department. It was very nice and I bet a lot of our faculty have never been inside there.

Originally, I heard we would play Okie State either Tuesday or Wednesday. Could we have played Wednesday in Denton (or would the luncheon still be going on? ) ?

Put the staff luncheon in the Bahnsen Gym.

Does speling count ?

Fraternities always claim to support (attend) athletics but they don’t. That’s why coaches always approach them and ask them to attend. If they were already attending there would be no need to ask.

I read a list of 15 things “people” don’t do anymore. Among not writing thank you notes and other things, the article said people don’t participate in college homecoming activities. Maybe we’re actually ahead of the curve. This is likely part of the drop in game attendance.

My wife and I agreed it wasn’t 4100 but I thought it was 3,500 or so. 2,100 seems very low.

It was my understanding that the first 3 games, if we continue winning, are in Denton.

I think I saw him on TV Saturday afternoon. Big guy. He was wearing #14. I think he’s OK. So where do I pick up the reward ?

Looking at our season on the whole, wins and loses, we had a successful year. I was not happy with our out of conference opponents, save High Point and McNeese (and I didm’t like them at the beginning of the season). We lacked a “pedal to the metal” mentality and rarely really put anyone away. Too many offensive droughts. Without a NIT bid, I give us a 7. If we do well in the NIT, an 8. A conference championship should always be the goal. Anything short is a disappointment.
