I would like to see them play TCU again and continue playing them. My grandad graduated from TCU and my mom has worked there for years. Not to mention I grew up in FW so I guess I am a bit of a TCU fan. I'd also like to see em play Notre Dame. I just think that would be cool.

Yesterday my boss was in town from NJ and we were driving downtown and I showed her the SMU banner and asked her what she thought it might mean. She looked at it and was like "If you have a horse...take it that way?" I told her what it is supposed to mean and she laughed her butt off. She is the senior director of marketing for the hotel company I work for. She was astounded that they actually paid for the "pony up" campaign.

I AM in marketing and sales for a large hotel company and let me tell you...they got screwed royally. The tests you are talking about are called focus groups. That is usually what is done. Either they didn't do them or they didn't do them with the right spectrum of people. I almost feel bad for SMOO....almost.

I just read that the coaches are wearing contrasting colors to the players so that the players will easily be able to spot the coaches and signals from them. Since the coaches gear is white and black I guess it's safe to assume that the players will have on green jerseys. I think it's important that the players look Mean and Green. Not the coaches.

I am very familiar with La Michoacana. My husband and I get meat from there often. We definitely would be willing to bring some to the games as well as the fixins that should go along with it. We have brought 12 packs of sodas before and other things to contribute and will definitely continue doing so. We will help in any way we can. Just tell us what you need/want. I think the tip jar is a great idea as well.

Is this the second fire on Fry St. this week? I want to say that yesterday morning I was listening to the news or maybe the day before and another building on Fry caught fire. They were talking about several murals being destroyed that were going to be sold and the profits were going towards Habitat for Humanity. They mentioned that they were trying to see if they could salvage any.

I totally understand what you mean about experience and being able to command more money, but something else I have to think about is what resources I would be working with. Just for our loyalty program alone (not marketing money) I get a budget of 2.5+ million a year. Again, that doesn't include money or expenses I can get Marketing to pay for. Whoever does take this job has quite a task ahead of them. Hell, I'd be willing to consult with whoever takes the job for free (in my spare time).

If the pay wasn't so low I would totally do it. This is pretty much exactly what I do now for Wyndham Hotels and Resorts with our Wyndham ByRequest loyalty program. That's too bad.
