We went to the Pourhouse with our two girls and had to leave at halftime due to them being unmanageable. We turned the radio off on the way home because my husband said he had the game recording.... We get home and start where we left off in the recording and for farks sake it stops at 10minutes in the fourth quarter! Mother of baby Jesus are ya kidding me? We tried getting on here and no luck so I finally had to go to ESPN and I slowly looked at the scores through my fingers as if I were watching a scary movie. Once I started jumping up and down hysterically like I do at amazing shoe sales at Nordstrom's my husband knew we had won. Holy cow.....it IS like Christmas early.

I think we will be going to F&H in Lewisville. We will be taking both our daughters. We had a good time when we went to watching party there for the Men's BB game.

It's great to hear such optimism from a parent! It makes me actually have more hope for this upcoming season. I was going to say welcome to the board but I see you joined quite a few years ago.

I agree with you. It would represent some kind of turnaround. It would be a 300% improvement from last year but still would not make most of the Mean Green faithful "happy", including me.

I have to come to the defense of my second favorite school, #1 because my grandad is a TCU Alum, #2 because I grew up in the TCU area my entire childhood and was always a fan and #3 because my mother has worked there for 15 years. No offense but they are kinda "big time" as far as football is concerned IMO and who says that they "won't" play us? Unfortunately the way UNT has played the past few years I wouldn't have wanted to play them anyways. They would have schooled us so much worse than SMU did last year. The last time we played they weren't as good as they are now and UNT was supposedly "good" and we still lost. I don't know that there is any school I dislike most but I have to admit that UT, SMU and OU's student and alumni ego's are a little hard to overlook.

Luis and I had a blast as always, even though I could barely move yesterday. What a fun time. Thanks to everyone for getting this together and props to the food guys! It was great! Can't wait to see you all at the first home game!!!!! Sam

Female Height: 5'4".....and a half? Shirt Size: M Experience: Played year before last in the GMG game. I was on Emmitt's team, therefore we lost. I did not declare for last years draft. You can only waddle down a football field so fast when nine months pregnant. Strengths: Good hands and good arm, providing the target stays still and everyone else stays out of the way. Good speed in short bursts, as long as it's not longer than 10 yards. Oh, and I can drink beer with the best of them. Prediction: 1st round, 1st pick....maybe 2nd if any other chicks decide to play. I also predict I won't be able to move for three days afterwards if year before last was any indication. It sucks getting old.

I know I would love to play again. I just have to convince the hubby to take off work that day (I'm sure an 18 pack of Bud Light might be persuasive enough). Let's hope that I can actually move the day after. Last time I think I was bedridden for two days. Price of tshirts wont be an issue or we can wear our oldies. Whatever works for everyone else.

I was looking forward to playing again this year too since I missed last years. I was actually carrying the football last year (pregnant LOL). Me and the hubby would be down for playing wherever. We could wear our old T's.

There are some great ideas being brought to the table but until you figure out HOW to market there is no point. Meaning, great ideas are just great ideas until someone spreads the word. The number one way of marketing today is via email communications. I hardly get anything sent to me from NT, yet other programs have my email address (for various reasons) and I receive reminders about games or emails about upcoming events. You have to spread the word and do it continuously. I've been doing loyalty marketing for hotel companies for the past 8 years. What I wouldn't give to get my hands on the NT athletic marketing department. Oh, and I'm not opposed to scantily clad women at all, and I am a woman. LOL It's a good idea. Get some hooters girls into the game to sign autographs or take pictures at a booth/table. I would focus on getting more peole INTO the game vs. to the game itself. baby steps.....

Well, I haven't seen any females reply so I guess I'll give it a shot.... I'm a mother of two. Our most recent born on March 1st. If she's being induced and this is your first child there is a good good chance that she and baby will still BE at the hospital on Saturday night. If that's the case I'd see if someone could come keep her company for a bit until visiting hours are over, during which time you could go to the game. But still could be risky....especially if it is your first. Good luck!

We will be staying at a Marriott or Omni hotel. I know people that work for both companies. Whoever gets us the better rate is where we will be. lol

My friend and her husband brew their own jalepeno beer and holy cow....i can only drink one. It's got some serious burn to it. I'm with a few others on this topic....I like Rahr beer from the brewery in Ft. Worth. I've only been able to find it at a few beer stores here in the Dallas area though. The Ugly Pug is awesome but I wouldn't drink it till it got a bit colder out. Has that chocolate taste to it.
