I am hoping for a 14 seed, BUT if wind up with the play-in game as some have predicted, we should get a win that way.... GO GREEN.

TOURNAMENT TIME Ok students---see what you missed by not going to the games.... a 23 game winner and first NCAA tournament team in 19 years. ..Too bad. Those who went you now have more good memories from your college years.

---A similar email should should be sent out to students (and staff?) prior to every HOME game, and especially before our HOME tournament game announcing that there was a game on campus. ---If not ----here is an great idea that should be done prior to every home athletic event especially football/basketball (both genders) games... If it was then it is really depressing that no more than 2,700 showed up. This extremely cheap to do (about zero) and should be done. They would likely scan over it before deleting it... in fact if the title was the same all the time ...maybe [Home game] they would get the message somewhat without reading it.. If this is done ----make it short and concise.

--I can't imagine any team with 23 wins being placed into the play-in game.....besides there are several conferences are considered weaker than the Belt... I would think Southland, Midcontinent, and Southwest Athletic are some of them. Besides doesn't the rules insure that a conference champ be awarded one of the 63 berths and not a play-in spot. ---We need to hatch a win tonight before we worry about those chickens...

The odds changes as people bet so there must be more money going in on the North Texas side rather than Arkansas State.

--They won the last game by 3 points.... That is ONE shot made by them or not made by us......... At this point that is rather meaningless. WE CAN WIN and I think we will.

Draw-plays rarely work unless the defense is expecting a pass play and has seen several prior to then in that type of situation.. If they are defending a running play it would likely result in a loss. Likely some type of "power" play unless they notice an oddity in the defense which opens up a passing play.

---I like their attitude.... They own two wins over us and think it will be an automatic win.... hope their team feels the same way and is over-confident...hard to believe since the last one was only a three point win.... that is ONE long shot going in.

---Good Grief... ENJOY IT..!!! THIS FUN**..!! This may not one of the best teams in America (a top ten one) but it is a good one... A lot of teams would love to win 20+ games and make their tournament finals like we have.. This sure beats what we have been seeing and I hope it is a preview of our future. Good luck and let us hope they have a good game, win or lose. ___ (some people would gripe if they won a million bucks, they would complain it wasn't more) **too bad that more students did not go to more games during the regular season, I guess they thought watching TV or whatever was more fun and created such great memories of their college experience.. 15 years years from now they likely won't remember what else they did the night of our playoff game in Denton.. they probably would have remembered the playoff game had they gone..... Think about it.... people should live life and create great memories. Fooey on the "pessimists" , the "Lazy" , and those who "have no Pride" in themselves and their school anyway..!!!

Advice ... don't foul those guys... they shot over 92% on free throws... They were 26 of 28 ...... that gave them the victory. WK made 15 of 22.... 11 points less. 1/3 of their score was made on free throws.....

Well that demonstrates how well our fans support the basketball program... and why I started my rant on poor attendance...

Absolutely take it all at once.-- It turns out the same in the long run ...if you never spent any and just invested it (either way) you have the same amt after 25 year.s It is one of things I use in class to demonstrate several finance formulas. Beside if you die before you get it all... too bad... I have heard the balance is not paid to your estate either, the State keeps it. (that part may or may not be true) . ---Actually I think you would want to declare any "charity or university" a co-winner before you take the money and have the lottery pay that amount directly to them... That way it would go the university without paying any income tax on that. Universities don't pay income tax. It would cost YOU less tax to give the same effective amount that way. The amount listed is pretax..and the total paid out over 25 years... the immediate pay is less but then they take tax from that too. Nothing is quite as good as it seems..... but I would still take it if offered to me...LOL

--MATHEMATICS is a tough subject for some people... I should know -- I am one of those hated Math instructors. ...LOL Retraction to above: Vocabulary is tough subject... glad to know we math instructors are doing our job. ... obviously it is the English instructors fault.

LOL..... damn... It appears that I may be the only one that can be eliminated as a possible father of her child.... hahahaha... well at least I know that.

---Bradley, Drake and Wichita State were members also and the entire collection was very good. I think everyone mentioned except us and Tulsa has made the final four... and Tulsa has won the NIT. ---It was crazier than just loud.... The concession stand would not sell ice in cokes for fear it would wind up on the floor... a lot of those cups did after what we thought was questionable calls. There was even more craziness and it was great fun. It was called the "Snake Pit" or just plain "Pit " for a reason.

---There is not a lot of difference in the entire remaining, look at the scores from the regular season. BUT we have as good of a chance as anyone... We just can't afford to have a bad game or find a team that is really hot. I am impressed that our guys did not quit when they were trailing by 12 at half to a team that they had lost to in their first meeting... That also improves their confidence should they get down a few points again... Go get em. ---USA has to be shaking their heads... they won 13 straight then lost the last four including their only play-off game. This one time the conference winner going to the NIT might not be the best idea... I doubt they have any confidence left at this point..
