Where was the coaches show before Rudy's BBQ? Coach Mac brought this up in his speech (sounded like he was livid), was glad that Rudy's supported UNT & the last place didn't give a damn about the program.

Awasom plays for the Orlando Predators in the Arena league. Kassell owned a training facility in Austin last I heard. Don't know about the rest.

It was Brandon Byrd that Coach Mac mentioned along with Jimmerson and Brown. He also stated that Akunne had 16 tackles in the spring game, that's pretty impressive. The Tony Mitchell story floored me but it shows Benford is not gonna play any favorites. RV stepped in and said that it happened the weekend before Tony could have declared for the draft & he still didn't go. Benford also did his Matt Simon impression by saying he wanted to play SMU in a parking lot somewhere in shirts and skins since they refused to play us in a real game.

It's a NAIA school, my son played against them. The KCAC is a pretty good conference for that level. Not sure how Caldwell will transition to D1.

Crap, Stock was a good player. Would have seen a lot of playing time this year. Big loss IMO. Good luck to him.

I voted Tulsa. We have a history with them & for some reason I just don't like them. Plus I can't forget the 54-2 shellacking they laid on us at Fouts.

Smith transferred to Sherman at Christmas break. Will battle returning co-starter Torey Long for QB for the Bearcats.

Now into Round 4, any ideas where Lance may go? Or would he be better off as a free agent?

Jub mentioned something this morning about the media hospitality room at Apogee being named in honor of the great Bill Mercer.

Jub Jub said this morning that Fox 4's Mike Doocy and Brian Waters were going to be the celebrity coaches for the spring game. There will probably be more like last year.

North Texas Athletics is cleaning out its closets and will host a surplus equipment and apparel garage sale at Apogee stadium prior to and during the April 21st Spring Game. Old jerseys, relatively new jerseys, sweat tops & pants, shoes, cleats, polos, warm ups, T-shirts, socks, limited edition New Orleans Bowl footballs and much more will be in a garage sale style display for picking and purchasing. All items will be set up just inside of Gate 2 adjacent to the Athletic Ticket Office and Mean Green Gear Stadium Store . Sales will start at 12:30 and run at least through halftime of the spring game. Pricing will range from $1 to $30 depending on item.
