Listening to the Hardline on the way home as they were doing their weekly college roundup segment. Corby commented on the UT-Ole Miss game, A&M-SMU, & then started talking about Notre Dame. I figured they would ignore NT or have some snide remark but lo and behold, Corby actually had some positive things to say. "North Texas can play!" was his first comment & then he went on to say how much he liked the direction we were headed under Coach Mac, he even threw in a dig at TD. I'm not a big fan of Corby but I did enjoy listening to him today!

Will Wright: 2 tackles & an interception.

That was a sweet 30 yard run by J Brown at the end of the 3rd quarter! I predict my adopted player Will Wright will be very active this Saturday: 8 tackles & a fumble recovery.

According to the official stats, Will Wright had an 0' fer. No tackles, no assists, nothing. I know I saw him in on a few tackles during the game!

Watched the replay last night, thought Dave and Doogie did a great job. Loved Bill Mercer & his NT football history lesson. I, too, wished they would have let Bill do a little play by play but he seemed to want to get out of their way. The hot sideline reporter was good also!

Hate to hear that about Ladner. Not many kids from Blue Ridge, Texas get to play D-1 football. Hope everything works out for him.

I stopped at Rudy's in Denton for lunch today & saw Benford and his staff there eating lunch as well. There were some kids there also (possibly recruits?).

Great story on J Brown! He has a real nice family. I've known Jeremy since he was in the 4th grade. He's always been a quiet, humble kid. Best of luck to you J Brown!

Chapman was a great player! He was one that other teams had to gameplan for. I remember sitting near Walter's mother listening to her yell encouragement to her "baby", all 260 pounds of him!

J Brown did look good but he also fumbled there towards the end of the game. Looked like Mac really had some choice words with him about it!
