I was there, I'd say that was about right. Illinois brought a lot more that UNLV but La Tech didn't bring as much as we did last year.

this guy posts a lot on Twitter about walking onto the football team. Only thing I can find on him is that he's from Pearland Dawson. Don't know what position he plays. Anyone else know?

La Tech blitzed a LOT! Bates is a beast at DE. Nice crowd from Illinois, very vocal. Band was very good. La Tech side was pretty packed from the south 10 yard line up to the north 30 yard line. Not near what we brought last year. Congrats Bulldogs!

Ben is correct, the LB's should be your leading tacklers. 300 lbs is not the magic number either, they have to be able to make plays. My son played at a NAIA school in Oklahoma that had several 300 lb. DL's, they were at NAIA for a reason (not D1 caliber).

was in Sam's Club in Denton this morning. Saw 3 styles of UNT t-shirts, 1 cap, and several toboggans (head coverings). The cap was pretty nice looking but the t-shirts were IMO cheap looking. The holiday commercial for Rally House that runs on KTCK even states that they carry UNT gear.

Abilene Christian did offer him also, only about an hour drive from San Angelo. Maybe he wanted to stay closer to home.

Sam Wells is from Commerce High School, his father was the head football coach there. I believe he Is a walk on. Honestly don't think he'll ever see the field here as QB, he might develop into a Derrick Teagarden type as a nice special teams player. Chumley was on Dave Campbell's Texas Football Super Team last year, listed as utility.
