Some of you old timers may remember Dennis. Starting offensive lineman for Coach Fry in 1973 & 1974, was all-MVC his senior year. Played for the San Antonio Wings in the WFL. Also a member of the track team at NT & held the record for shot put for quite a while. Coached high school football in Irving and for the past several years in Katy. back in my day, our district was Aubrey, Celina, Coppell, Little Elm, Southlake Carroll, Pilot Point, and Sanger. Ledbetter had just taken over in 1980 (my senior year), his team was very disciplined & tough.

Congrats to Coach Dodge & to all the DFW area teams that advanced to the state championship game: Mansfield Lake Ridge, Frisco Lone Star, Argyle, Celina , and Brock. FYI: Brandon Jackson is the receivers coach at Frisco Lone Star.

Would like to have him. He's reportedly talking to Kansas State.

My son took part in the tee sweep promotion last season. CSC would not let us on the field even though we were with Matt Phillips. Matt finally got so fed up with the situation, he had to call someone to override CSC to allow us access. same game, about 1:00 left to play, we were leaving & stood in the handicapped area (where no one had been the whole game) to watch the final play, we were quickly reminded by CSC that we couldn't stand there.

Have faith in your players. Don't yank them after a mistake & never see the field again. (Erick Evans comes to mind). Recruit, recruit, recruit. Win!

Harrell and the great Johnny Quinn are friends. Quinn has been working at Harrell's football camps the last several years.

There were 2 open on the east side until about 10 minutes before game time, then a 3rd was opened. The line was pretty long when I got there at 7:00. Heard it was much worse on the west side.

Littrell could hire Ellott's father as an assistant also as an added incentive!

Elliott redshirted this year & would have to sit out another year if he transferred here. I've heard he's unhappy at UNC but don't know if he's willing to sit again.
