I've been meaning to post about the Sherman staff but you beat me to it. Should be a fun team to watch.

I think they also hired Cam Montgomery & Isaac Thomas. New DC Mark Wilkinson is a UNT alum also. Don't think he played football though.

As much as I'd like to have baseball, let's put it on the back burner until we get football and basketball fixed!

reminds me of a kid I saw play several times in high school, Nic Shimonek of Corsicana MIldred. Not sure if we recruited him or not, Mildred is not a football factory but Nic led them to the playoffs all 4 years including a 13-1 record his junior year & state runner up his senior year. He signed with Iowa out of high school (2013), redshirted there his freshman year, and then transferred to Texas Tech, sat out last the 2014 season due to transfer rules, played a couple of downs last season in mop up duty, and is now the backup to Mahomes. I'm convinced Nic would have pushed for the starting job here his freshman year and would now be a 3rd year starting QB. I'm sure there's countless others out there just like this.

She asked if I could give him her number if he was interested. I haven't talked to him yet but I doubt he will buy. He has a lot on his plate this fall including getting married. I have 4 tickets so he can always go with me.

He graduated 2 years ago & did buy season tickets his first year out. He didn't renew last season though. This is the first time that I know of that anyone has tried to contact him.

got a call today from Brittany from NT ticket sales department (caller ID showed a Denton phone number). She was actually trying to get hold of my son who is a recent graduate inquiring if he was interested in buying season tickets. I told her that I was his father and that he now lives in Ft Worth and I would ask him about it or I could give her his phone number if she actually wanted to talk to him. She said she didn't know where Ft Worth was or how far it was from Denton, I asked "aren't you calling me from Denton? Ft Worth is about 30 miles south." She finally replied that she was calling from Atlanta and worked for a company that was contracted by NT for ticket sales. Not complaining, she was very nice and I appreciated the effort put forth. Just a question: is this something new or has the athletic department contracted out in the past?

I heard some youthful enthusiasm from Harrell, he just seems happy to be coaching! Hope this rubs off onto the team. He said when Littrell called to offer him the OC job that SL called NT a "goldmine". Liked what I heard, can't wait for football season!

George & Craig are on vacation so Sean Bass & Jake Kemp are hosting the morning show this week. Sean announced this morning that they're working on getting Coach Harrell in studio tomorrow (Friday). Will post more if the time is confirmed.

this sounds suspiciously like the employee opinion surveys we have at my place of employment. Management says they'll look at the results of the survey and make changes accordingly. I'm assuming the results get thrown away because nothing ever changes or management makes the changes they were going to make anyway. Hope I'm wrong.
