So im not sure where all this "We have a chance to play TT or UT in the HOD bowl comes from". CUSA is not a contracted conference to the HOD bowl this year. PERIOD!!!! Therefore, Its not likely to happen. 1% chance at best. Just because i bunch of people project us in HOD bowl, you have to remember they don't do much research outside the top 5-6 bowls, if that, and more so, I'm guessing, don't realize the HOD bowl isn't a CUSA bowl anymore this year. Same can be said for the Independence Bowl. It is not a CUSA bowl. Yes, they had representatives at a couple of our games, but that was also when it looked like their respective conference ties would not be able to fill their slots, it now appears that they will, so again a 1% chance to play there at best. Look at the CUSA bowl tie ins and tell me where you would rather go instead of New Orleans? Boca (3 times in 1 year), Bahamas (Already off the table), St. Petersburg?, Fort Worth (playing army for he 4th time in 2 years)?, or New Mexico? Lets face it, those are our options. Could there be some backdoor negotiating and moving happen, YES, but we are not privy to those negotiations, and they last thing we want to do is pull a LA Tech and get left out of a bowl. Remember, there are more bowl eligible teams than bowl games this year. Someone is getting left out, if we get picky and try and overplay our hand, then we could be one of those teams sitting at home.

Im hearing our 1st choice is playing a P5 Texas team. 2nd Choice is New Orleans

Big Difference with O'Leary and ND (He lied on his resume) and Bama and Price (Dont remember specifics, but something to do with infidelity and strip clubs, i think). This is just an employer backing out over nothing but rumors and hearsay. If they signed a contract, Tennessee is screwed.

Im sick of tired of hearing "correction" on 2/3rd of the PA calls. Not to mention the mis-pronounced names, wrong yard line, etc... Icing on the cake for me was last night during the Pre-Game. Its senior night and Jeff Wilson is one of our best players to wear the uniform and he is welcomed to the field for Senior night with the name Jeffery Thompson! WTF?????

Word was it was Reffitt that had the gameplay against Army last year. Im no coach, but it sure appeared to me that we ran basically a generic base defense last night. I wonder if this was the plan. Instead of revamping our defense late in the year for what amounts to a meaningless game, i wonder if we just played base, and decided to put the game into the offenses hands.

Not sure if you noticed, but Army had every bit of 4-6 thousand fans there last night. FAU would have had 200. So attendance might have been 20-22k instead of 26k.

Would think it would be very hard to add another 29+ scholarships to the mens side (11+ in baseball and 18 in Hockey) without having to generate at least 2 or 3 additional woman sports. That would be a very substantial and costly endeaver.

Since this game is on ESPN2 at 11:00am that makes it essentially the 4th choice of games that day/time. You have ACC on ABC, MAC on ESPN, BIG 12 on FOX, then CUSA on ESPN2. Pretty crowded radio dial if you ask me.

Not to beat a dead horse, but what makes the casual fans want to be in the stadium early? There is no pregame atmosphere whatsoever from the band to the team entrance. Its just the band running onto the field, playing a song or two, haphazardly lining up, team coming out to nothing in-particular, then the band just wondering back off the field to get into the stands. Give em something like Va Tech, dotting the I at Ohio State, The smoke in Miami, TD Jesus at ND, Bevo or Ralphie at Texas and Colorado, the Eagle at Auburn, etc.............

seems to me like the 1 Tuesday night game i remember a few years back (ULL i think it was) had a pretty decent student turn out. If memory serves me correctly, that was the jimmy show screen pass game.

Just to throw this out there (not excusing the lack of sideline gear) but the long sleeve sow shirt was last years gear, so probably isn't being made by NIKE anymore. Now, on to this years sideline gear, that is certainly something that should be in the stores from Day 1

While that may be true, that would be pretty damn unfair to them. No one in CUSA is anywhere near the level of UCF, USF, or Houston.

Those bashing on ESPN3 should remember one thing. There are two very different feeds on ESPN 3. If you are watching a ESPN produced feed then it is generally a very good production (commentary maybe not so much). ESPN3 also picks up feeds from other sources (from the schools themselves, etc....) and those tend to be not so great in the production quality.
