    The Team Hotel is a little outside the quarter, but everything is pretty close down there. The Quarter is what, maybe 1 mile by 1 mile square. 90% of what is being talked about here is in the quarter or on the outskirts, so you should be no more than a mile walk to any place that is being recommended.

    I know in the past games there was a bar (cant remember which one) that became "The North Texas Bar". They would decorate up with our flags and such. Have we heard if and where that will be this year?

    Deanie's is certainly approved. The Seafood platter is all you could want and more.

    Looking for really good Cajun/Creole I suggest "The Gumbo Shop" on St. Peter Street. gumboshop.com I suggest starting off with the boudin, then a nice combination dish of Jambalaya, Crawfish Etufee, and Gumbo, served with Red Beans and Rice.

    i think the perception is Southern Miss is a bigger brand to the TV audience, general public (especially around LA) and to FSU. Don't think FSU didn't have a say in all this.

    Southern Mississippi is a bigger brand than North Texas right now. That could have played a big role in who they invited.

    now those are point i can agree with moving forward. Im just not going to worry about next year until after the last game is played. Until then, im going to enjoy this rare season for at least two more weeks.

    I also know that we didn't win those games in the past. but I'm sure you know this! Fact still remains we did win those this year and for that i can be happy. you should try it some time.

    and yet its OU 41-17 to start the 4th quarter. same as our game ended. TCU payed an egg vs OU earlier in the year, their offense played an egg vs Iowa State.

    Style of wins? The fact that we can even debate "Style of wins" vs "Style of losses" (like normal) is the reason that i mark this season a success.

    GOOD!!! This team and program doesnt want your negativity. Today stings, YES, but if you think for 1 second im not going to enjoy what this team has accomplished this season, your crazy. Almost all "experts told us were were going to be at the bottom of the West and we won the damn thing. That we can be proud of and enjoy. PERIOD

    Yes lets dismiss this season over two games. Get the HELL out. FAU is better than us, not shame in that, i guess TCU should do the same because they cant beat OU? Its attitudes like this that makes me sick. As much crap as we have sat through over the years and your going to come on here and piss on a 9 win season? YOU SIR DESERVE NOTHING.

    To be fair, the Troy loss to S. Bama came the week after the LSU win (on a Thursday or Friday night too, I think). Wouldn't be to hard to infer they may have celebrated the LSU win a little too much.

    Do we as a Program benefit directly in any way by being in the title game? Financially or otherwise? I get the exposure and such, but I'm asking do we receive any $$$ directly by making the game? Also, i assume the conference picks up the travel costs?

    By demanding what? A Bowl game that we are not able to go to with out a special invitation we haven't received?

    we also won a conference championship in 2002. Should we complain that we have to travel to Boca this weekend to try and win another one?

    I hear am I to think that i we all supported the Mean Green. If i was going to watch another team play, I'd buy tickets for the Cotton Bowl, or even better yet one of the playoff games.

    and how many of these prognosticators have has us in the New Orleans Bowl?

    Right now, we DON'T know that there will be a CUSA team in that bowl. It is a SEC vs ACC bowl, and both conferences have the teams to fill the bowl, unless the SEC places two teams into the Playoff, or a deal is made to move a P5 team elsewhere.

    So of the Bowls we KNOW we have a chance to attend: Bahamas (Already Gone), New Mexico, New Orleans, Armed Forces (Vs. Army), St. Petersburg, or Boca (would make 3 trips there this year), which bowl game do the NO to N.O. crowd prefer?
