I think there is a major difference with what UNC (Switzer) did and UNT. 1) (UNT’s) worked, this making major news outlets across the country, putting more of a spotlight on it. 2) it doesn’t appear that UNC’s was a coordinated team effort. More just Switzer acting on his own 3) times are changing on safety, many things overlooked even 3-4 years ago are now illegal or frowned apon lets not turn this into a NCAA knocking down UNT thing, he’ll it should be a badge of honor that we so far outthought everyone that they have to close the loophole so it can’t be done again, plus Let’s be honest, there is no way we would be able to get away with it again so who cares if they close it.

If I’d guess, you will see a rule instituted that will state “ once a return man, gives himself up”, the play will be dead. Honestly with all the new safety measures instituted over the past few years, I’m surprised this was legal. Guessing it was just not thought about, hence why your seeing the rule questioned now

I take that to mean 3 possible things. 1) we have the funds to match any offer they give 2) he doesn’t think they could afford the buyout 3) they believe Seth is headed for a place and salary Tech can’t go too

It was the closing argument for the hosts with the argument being “fair or foul”. Couldnt buy this type of coverage.

I believe TCU and Ohio State had a home and home scheduled, but Paterson wanted out of it, so ESPN and Jerry stepped in and offered a one game solution to Ohio State (plated at ATT) to let TCU out of the contract.

According to the Presidents twitter he posted a picture with an Allegiant plane in the background, so that is probably it. Now my question for the aviators out there. If we can charter a plane out of Alliance why can't we just take one out of Denton?
-
Don't we normally fly Southwest Charter?

DRC: UNT to unveil statue of Greene this fall

I’ve heard many more than just 1 former teammate or advisory are planning to attend. -
Guess I ruffled a feather or two. Reckon I celebrate with a bacon sandwich tonight.

just because it's the the same or close to the same signal does not mean that is the intention. Does every time a coach or player give another a thumbs up, is he really just saying "Gig em"? Its a Houston thing, believe it or not, it is...and players from that area are going to be doing it whether you like it or not. They are doing it for their city pride because it has become an "IT" thing to do. The fact that the same or similar symbol could also signify "Hook Em" means nothing to these players doing it, therefore it should mean nothing to us about them doing it.

DRC: Cole Hedlund to make emotional return to Arkansas
GreenN'walinsVet replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
yes we do have a Special Teams Coordinator -
no doubt it is stacked against us, but why would they put a 1 loss Boise or UCF above us? answer is they have done it before, so yes this year we may go undefeated and it up against a 6-6 Kentucky or whoever, we follow that up with another 0 or 1 loss year next year and that is a total 3 year record of around 35-7 and we will start to see the same benefits of the doubt that Boise, UCF, TCU (in the day), Louisville (in the day), Utah(in the day), etc.. got. Unfortunately it takes time and there is almost no margin for error, but i would also argue that Texas wouldn't be Texas if they had filafarted around for 100 years either. Those so called 20 school that have all the press and accolades built their reputation to that level over years and years of success.

DRC: Cole Hedlund to make emotional return to Arkansas

I think a better comparison would have been if a guy like McNulty would have Grad Transferred to another school, and came back to town and looked like a legit D1 QB. We would turn our attention and hatred from the player to the former coaching staff because it would be obvious to us, it was coaching and not talent. -
When was the last time a coach for UNT was on a radio show in Los Angeles? Not only that, but a national syndicated radio show out of Los Angeles, one that is hosted by a nationally known radio personality (and said personality actually did some research on the team, instead of just hoisting up generic questions because he was told to interview some coach from Texas)? I think even the big heads and P5 ball lickers at ESPN, realize what kind of alumni base a school like UNT, UCF, UH, etc.. posses, and when these kind of schools start to make a few waves, things open up for them much more than say the small schools like SMU, etc... If we win on Saturday, you will start to see the talking heads on CBS and FOX and maybe even ESPN start to talk about Fine and Guyton and company. Problem will be though, if we slip up just and inch, it will all come crashing down in an instant. Boise wasn't built in a day, but they also took advantage of multiple years of success before they built the brand that the likes of ESPN would acknowledge.

i can promise you, if we go undefeated we will not be in the New Mexico Bowl. If we go undefeated we would be in the 20-25 range of the polls, have an outside shot at a NY6 bowl (depending on how Boise and UCF's seasons turn out). We would have the pick of the littler of the CUSA bowls at the very least, putting us in Dallas or possibly a liberty bowl type game.

Arkansas a 7 point favorite

Lets call and renegotiate today...They likely won't want to pay a team that could come in a have a chance to beat them, so to avoid them of the embarrassment, we schedule them a return game at Apogee ASAP! -
CSU hasn't been very impressive this year till this week. Should be a good game next week.
-
“North Texas is a good football team with a Big Time Defense” any chance this douchbag even knew North Texas played football before last week?
