  1. You got me man...I hate my kids and other kids so much that I am not concerned with sending them to school. Good on you dude...you figured me out. I'll buy ya a beer at the next home game as a congratulatory gesture.
  2. Not that yall care, but I'm enjoying the beaches in florida right now. I'll respond with what I can, when i can about the education stuff, money, safety shit when i can. As a parent, I want my kids in school. As a teacher, our students need to be in school.
  3. Kids need to be in school. I have zero fear of sending mine.
  4. It's not run by liberals, but they seem to be the majority that voices their complaints. Look at twitter (social media)..small % of population, but totally leans that way so it makes ya think the whole country believes that way
  5. So the majority of blacks didnt vote for desegregation? I have no idea, but it should have been their choice. Dont know why you immediately went racial once I said what I did that never mentioned race
  6. Im not talking about everyone as a whole, I'm talking about each group. If most arent offended by it in the group, dont change it.
  7. i'm a firm believer in majority rules. i don't really care if some people find it offenseive. why should we change things because some don't like it? if most don't like it, change it...bowing down to a small percentage of folks is pathetic in my eyes and does nothing to help. sucks your feelings were hurt or you were offended...if most want it gone, get rid of it. if most don't want it gone, then don't get rid of it
  8. i only wear it because it's a new rule in the city of denton, i don't wear one any other place i go and thanks for the well wishes
  9. i'm perfectly fine...nothing has changed in my life except now i have to wear a mask while in denton. i just quit posting on these threads because it became a big ole circle of saying the same things and the responses being the same, so i found it pointless
  10. i think your question is the right one. many out there are claiming for changes and to do something about it, but what more could be done in the hiring process? now i do think they should take complaints/bad choices officers make while on the job much more seriously, but i have no idea how much better departments can do when hiring someone (assuming everything you wrote is true of most departments) and there is no way in hell i would want to be a police officer...thank ya'll for doing the job that i wouldn't do
  11. i went back and used all my energy to parse though all you wrote...couple things...we don't know what's going to happen in september, just because you believe we won't have people, doesn't mean we wont. nascar had some fans last week and plan to have fans at talledega sunday. they also have plans to have up to 30 k at bristol on july 15. lone star park now has fans at the horses as other tracks across the nation. no fans this weekend at belmont for the derby, but don't say there are no fans at horseracing when there are fans. i have no idea what a quote of something i said is supposed to mean if you don't say anything...you're gonna have to take the time to explain it to me like i'm 5
  12. tldr...too much nonsense and i don't want to talk to someone that thinks differently from me.... the above is what i got from your comment...i'll still buy ya a beer and chat with ya anytime...i enjoy conversations with those that are different from me...it's a hell of a lot more fun than chatting with someone that thinks just like me
  13. that's some great german engineering if that shit is still in good us after 70 years...impressive the jains (jainism) use a swastika for a symbol of their religion...just another example of the swastika in use. not many here in the usa, but would they have to change that? i hope it
  14. call me selfish and arrogant....cool so what part of my "diatribe" is wrong? or do you just disagree and need to call me names? and that's cool...no big deal
  15. actually, yes i am because people die every day and we don't know if more people are dying due to covid or it's just recategorized as a covid death. i don't see the harm in this train of thought. death sucks, no shit, but people die. that's never going to be stopped. you disagree, cool...no big deal, but the world doesn't stop because people die. roughly, 8x as many people have recovered from covid as have died. hell ya! that's awesome to me. it means if you get it...you're probably gonna be fine. it's just a sickness. and i don't wear a mask, i don't wear gloves, neither does my wife or kids (unless the business requires it). i go out every damn day and have since this started. i frequent stores/restaurants/bars/you name it. is this unpopular? of course it is. is it wrong? good question....i don't know and neither do you. i'm not the expert on this stuff....because who really is when you can find positives/negatives based upon what expert you want to believe. i could be totally wrong and my family and i will die a horrible death...but maybe won't (from covid...we could all dies in a plane crash/car crash/etc.), but i will not stop going out, living life, supporting the economy, having fun. sue me...cuss me...whatever...we all have our beliefs and this is mine. hopefully, i'll see ya at apogee this year and the beer is on me! i'm cool with folks that disagree with me, not a big deal...it's life and i'm going to live it. edit: damnit...i forgot to ask how this is "a very avoidable disease"? and if you're just going to jump on politics, don't answer...you have no idea how another president/government could have stopped this "very avoidable disease"
  16. hope they have a better showing this week.
  17. 7500 people die everyday, on average Heart disease: 647,457 Cancer: 599,108 Accidents (unintentional injuries): 169,936 Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 160,201 Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 146,383 Alzheimer’s disease: 121,404 those are the total numbers of deaths for the year of 2017...so is 112k bad? does the total suck covid deaths suck? sure, but we truly don't know if this is that bad, in my opinion, because we don't know how many people are dying every day for this year. if it's about the same as a normal year, it isn't. yes i know it's only june, so 6 more months of deaths to add on to the total.
  18. people aren't using logic today, so it should all be good.
  19. I'm not trying to argue, just understand, but if it has always been an issue, why attend the school? Speak with no attendance, no support. That speaks volumes. Attending a school for free, then deciding there are things you dont like seems hypocritical. Imagine all the great athletes that have attended these schools, that they no longer agree with, went to hbc schools....that would send a message
  20. if students don't like it, don't attend the school. just like the clemson stuff going on. students were ok to take the scholarships and notoreity to get into the pros, didn't have a problem then, why now? maybe this is the white guy in me, but if something offends me, it has always offended me. i don't understand waking up one day and thinking that something that i have been totally okay with for years is suddenly offensive.
  21. then go ahead and defund teachers....they do so much more shit than they are qualified/educated for but it's part of their job and you do the best you can. no job will ever fully prepare each person to be an expert in all situations
  22. this is what the world needs more of in society. if every one agreed, life would be boring as shit, but we have to listen to each other and don't get pissed when someone disagrees or see's something from a different point of view.
  23. because you said it's unnecessary property damage, impling it doesn't matter, no reason to fight or defend it. i don't own a gun, never have, never will, but i will damn sure do what i need to do to stop people from taking my shit or destroying my business/property/house
