no, i don't feel that way...all i did was point to an article that had statistics for a local district oh no...they say "chinese coronavirus"...how will anyone survive...i didn't realize everything had to be to your liking and politically correct. good lord this world has become so sensitive to words they don't like. whatever happened to sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me? i don't see the issue calling it a chinese virus if it started in china...ya know...it's originating place. and no, i don't know "real' news outlets...that's totally on me and i trust a school district that gives me numbers and plans on starting on time. i post what i find with factual numbers, which the % of prosper students wanting to go back is. cool, i understand that last point. i like seeing actual testing data/research/wahtever, but if it's a number of students wanting to go back, in prosper, that you can find elsewhere, i don't see the issue in conclusion, i see that you have an issue with the website i linked (cool, your choice) and that you didn't answer the question that you believe everything written on the 3 sites i listed and i assume every other site you post links from. i get it...we believe totally differently, totally cool...i'll still buy ya beer at fb games and gmg charity events, but you seem like one closeminded guy that only believes things from websites they agree with and promotes their ideals. that's sad man...i don't get it. i'm open to others thoughts and have even changed my mind on masks (don't like to wear them, but now understand i should) and a few other things, plus i see other people's side to things, yet you seem to only believe information from your sites and what you believe.(based upon gmg posts) i've yet to see something about you understanding why someone may think differently from how you do(granted, i'm old and drink a lot, so i may have missed it)...sucks man, but again, i'll still buy ya beer if you ever need it. edit: you said in your second point that if i couldn't see it wasn't a real news source and that they called it the china virus then i was crazy, yet your last points said you have no reason to doubt prosper going back to school...so...i'm confused now...is it the website that prosper used or just the website or that prosper is going back to school that you don't like and had to say it's crazy?

honestly, i have no idea what you are talking about here. i assume, which i know is dangerous, this means you didn't like the website i got information from, so you won't believe it. am i correct with that assumption? then you post 3 links from the cdc, mayoclinic, and sinobilogical....i assume, again dangerous, that you believe everything from those 3 sites? seriously trying to understand why someone may only believe certain things from certain websites. that makes me think that those people only believe things that confirm/go along with their beliefs...close minded people.

100%....we had a call to discuss the beginning of the school year last thursday. this is just my middle school....school is title 1 again, folks may not know about having to decide, may not have email, may not care (which i really do believe is a decent portion) will be interestiong to see how it changes as we get closer. i was shocked as well for the low numbers, but i'm all in for in person school and have no problem sending my own kids to school on day 1...and they want it as well.

maybe they jump to his defense because they agree with him...just because it's ridiculous to you, doesn't mean it's ridiculous to them. very simple...or maybe they are blind followers, but you can't discount everyone that doesn't agree with you. you see things as ridiculous and petty...other see that those are needed responses or common sense thoughts. you have to have just as much of an open mind as you want others to have and be able to see things from all sides. -

you can't have meaningful conversation if you aren't honest, simple as that. i don't watch the news...hate it...always negative. the news i see is online through social media, which i know is bad, but not one thing that has happened in the news has negatively affected me. i'm not as intuned as others and i'm sure something out there has affected me, but i don't see it. my life doesn't change day to day... (well, except when the bars closed down...i tend to drink a lot) i see everything that you mentioned. i'm not blind to things that go on, but i also don't care as much. no person is perfect, no president is perfect, they all have skeletons and issues. hell, clinton got a bj and spooged on some chic in the oval office that wasn't his wife...ok, that's his choice. that choice didn't affect my lifeand he was still a really good president. i also like that trump is a lightning rod...that he is unpredictable and that he isn't a normal politician. i believe career politicians are way to comfortable and truly don't do anything unless it helps themselves. i'm a fan of the one that goes against the grain, the person that gets the job done in nonnormal ways. i love it...it's how i live my life and how i teach in my classroom. i get in trouble plenty of times by parents that don't like how i do things, but the kids love me (in that nonweird way) and learn so much more than they would with a regular, by the book teacher. could those things bite me in that ass as a teacher? sure could those things bite us in the ass with our president? sure but that doesn't mean that they will and i've seen some of biden's live press conferences and they were a disaster...dude can't keep a straight thought, forgets words, goess from a serious reply to don't worry about it. i was more referring to the specifics of previous administrations that you brought up when i said i don't pay much attention to politics. of course, i still had no idea biden released his environmental and economic plans...guess i need to go see them, but i don't havea problem with how the economy is now and i don't really care about the environment all that much.- 46 replies

it is when everything someone says, you hate and you can find no good/positive in someone. ...just like on this site. any person that is of a different political leaning than you/i, gets a downvote. it's pathetically obvious. that's the point i was making.- 46 replies

no, i see left leaning people take everything trump says personally. i don't see shit about biden...it's almost like he doesn't exist. he is so far off the news cycle/social media that it's weird -

just bolding that spot because i don't follow politics enough to know about the political issues that you specified. from what i see online, it's the opposite of the what you stated. it's the cultish hate about whatever the president says/does/acts/thinks/tweets, but, social media is extremely democratic is political leanings. i guess it's the beauty of life (or maybe the shity part of life) that you and i can see the same things out there, yet view them differently. who knows. MeanGreenTexan states "But I never really saw any of their supporters take things so personally like Trump's fans do"...funny, i see the other side taking every little thing personally...i think everyone is way to emotional when it comes to trump I voted for obama's second term (voted 3rd party in 08 due to not knowing enough about obama and not liking romney), bill clinton both times, but also voted for bush and trump, no problem saying those things. i voted for trump for the sheer fact that i wanted someone different from the career politician. I honestly don't think it's been a bad 4 years and will probably vote for him again. every candidate has issues.- 46 replies

it's funny because so many people hate the man that they will do the opposite of what he says. and that's the problem with america today...too many people blindly follow/hate the president that they can't see through their hatred/allegiance at the good/bad that he has done. he has done good things, he has done shitty things...just like every damn president, but for some reason, people don't care. it's either trump great or trump bad...it's sad that people are so closed minded nowadays- 46 replies

out of approximately 1100 students at my school (dentonisd), only 60 have signed up for online learning for this year. of course, not every family has replied and my school is labeled title 1 (basically poor) so it could be that the parents don't have the resources to keep them home/monitored, their kids are bad and they don't want them home, or they don't even know that they have to give us an answer in about a month. everything is fluid...no one has all the answers and it changes almost daily. kids will have to commit to a full grading period's worth of home learning, but kids that are at school may "change" due to circumstances. fine arts....no idea how they are going to do those classes. i don't know the numbers of other schools, but this seems to tell me that most at my school want to be at school and learning in person, but who knows. no idea on what would happen if a kid gets sick or a teacher....no idea on student requirements while in class/hallways...pretty much no idea how school is gonna work other than we're gonna teach the kids as best we can. edit: read documents on movement/collaboration/school stuff...basic commonn sense stuff about spacing/masks(certain grade levels and situations), doors propped open so no extra touching, etc

You got me man...I hate my kids and other kids so much that I am not concerned with sending them to school. Good on you dude...you figured me out. I'll buy ya a beer at the next home game as a congratulatory gesture.
