  1. Yes, poops-a-lot is right. Once we start having near-sellouts at 31K, we could expand again. Until then, 31K is fine.
  2. I like it. Yes sure, it is basically glorified bleachers, but who cares? You're right next to the field, all sides connected, and it is new. Bravo UCF. Bravo. Did I mention they are hosting U FREAKING T? Hellooooo?
  3. OT: Did you know that Juan's buddy Julio Franco is still playing AT AGE 48!?!? I saw him on a clip on ESPN the other day and thought I was hallucinating!
  4. Oh great, you have all offended the albino squirrel. He is not happy. TOUCH HIM! LOVE HIM!
  5. There were some positive comments sprinkled in there.
  6. Pony fans sweating, you gotta luv it.
  7. Some great points Stebo, and I hear and believe most of what you said in your posts. I also believe RV is one of the best if not the best AD at NT EVER. However.... Why would you (any athletic dept) not come out and put a goal date out for breaking ground? If what you say is true and I believe it is - why not shoot for a goal? What criteria do you put forth to determine when it makes sense to set a date? When you have it 50% funded? 70%? Or do you just come out and say - YIPPEEE!! We have it fully funded! We break ground tomorrow!
  8. Quick! Somebody call Mr. Waters! Great Idea STEBO!!
  9. I thought it was more than *just* a CVS, wasn't it? I thought there were several business moving into this.
  10. I've said this before, but I'll say it again because I think it is relevant to the "new stadium" discussion. I've been to fouts a handful of times where the attendance was over 25K. You know what? Fouts didn't seem all that bad. It is when I go to games with less than 17,000 or so when I think about how crappy the stadium is. Funny how that is, isn't it?
  11. ANOTHER KUNG_FOOOOOWAAAA DUNK!!!!
  12. wow, resisting....urge....to...predict....sellout....
  13. I wish we had a picture of the crowd, then we could prove that Plum needs to set down the crack pipe.
  14. Don't worry, some guy from Southlake will surely take your seat. They wipe with $20 bills. I'm only slightly kidding. Come on - seriously you can't afford a $4 ticket increase?
  15. Not so fast my friend! I was at the aTm game at texas stadium. There's a reason why that was the largest home game in our history - IT WASN'T A FREAKING HOME GAME! There were probably 95% aTm students and maybe 5% NT. How does that qualify as a home game? How do we benefit from that? Did we get the lion's share of the ticket proceeds from that game? Doubt it.
  16. Looks like it - I think last year they were $16 for reserved.
  17. A - HA! That is a very good point! It is tough for me to really see fouts as a 30,000 seat stadium when I look at those seats. A true 30,000 seat stadium would be a big improvement.
  18. Ok well so RV pushed the truth envelope a bit on the indoor practice field. Par for the course. But my question to you is which would you rather have at this point? A new stadium or a new indoor practice facility. Which gives the best return on investment for NT? Which is the more pressing need? If you're asking me it is the Stadium. With a new stadium I think you get the double benefit of better recruits who see a true committment to moving the program forward and with the fans who would previously not go the dump formerly known as fouts field. A covered practice field gives you only marginally (maybe) better recruits and has no impact on more fans showing up to games. Also you just put yourself that much further behind in building the stadium, as we are well aware funds are scarce at this point. So which is it?
  19. If you watch the free rivals video on this kid, he is impressive. Fearless in driving to the basket. Seems to have a great touch on the ball and able to make amazing shots around guys bigger than him. I like!
  20. Good to hear they are using 20's style architecture. The walls are a nice touch. Will be interesting to see how this turns out.
