I agree with your sentiments, I really do, and I'm getting more enraged the more I read and understand about what went on with George campaigning for Hank. However, there are some fundamental let's say "mischaracterizations" of the situation vis-a-vis this meeting. 1.) Yes, there were "only" 100 people there, for an event not widely publicized, and when it was publicized, was done so very late. It was also on a Monday night, up in Denton shortly after a workday. (WTF is up with the AD office/consultants/anything going on of importance in Denton happening on weekday nights/weekday during work hours??) 2.) Our hard core fans on the alumni side, as has been discussed at length on this site and you are well aware, number around 10-12,000. These may not be all Season ticket fans, but they are generally there at most of our home games. I'm not saying this isn't pathetic, but with all the nut kick 2-10 seasons we take regularly, in addition to pathetic AD leadership, is actually remarkable. That is all, carry on with your regularly scheduled rants. To recap, agree with the rants mostly, slight redirection.

I think this topic came up a while ago but I'm curious again and... it's the offseason. What do we think the cost would be to fill in the open areas to the sides of the wingzone and make it a complete bowl? Is this something we should do as a next step? Would it be a better idea to double deck the student side at some point? To those who like the wingzone, we could still keep its iconic shape by adding green bleachers to the area I guess. All of this of course assumes that Littrel wins the next 5 conference championships, 2 bowls and we are averaging 29K per game.

And unfortunately they will only have 10 copies available so we'll have to wait until all 100 of the superfans get their turn to watch and mail back in.

Then this is not really a retirement. It is a firing in my book.

The problem is that we aren't dealing with idiot or unaware bulk mail consumers here. We as a consumer group are savvy enough to catch these basic issues and they make a difference. We aren't talking about rocket science here. People in the AD have just stopped caring (to be expected I guess?). The problem is with each of these customer service issues we are chipping away at our fan support that we so desperately need. I believe the President should formally introduce an interim ad to handle these types of issues before things get out of control. Things can't continue to deteriorate like this so close to the start of the season. Either we have fired our AD office and are ready to start doing things differently or we just wanted to make a problem go away. We don't seem to currently have a good plan on how to really hire and oversee a new AD office. I'm uncomfortable with the silence out of the President's office.

How can there not be an investigation into obstruction of justice? Seems like there should be criminal investigations here, not just civil. Maybe that will happen but I haven't read that anywhere yet.

One cool thing I verified is that Sling TV also supports espn3. One more nail in the coffin (for me at least) for traditional bloated cable tv contracts. FiOS - I'm looking at you buddy...
