  1. The way I see it is - this is a perfect way for RV to prove to the public that NT doesn't want athletics. It will be his way of proving no matter what he does, he can never be successful here the way he wants to be. He will say "see - I put this up for a vote TWICE and BOTH Times it was voted down! What more can I do!?!?". Then he's "off the hook" at least in his mind for any blame.
  2. Got the new tags last year.
  3. Thats an oversimplification. We all want to have the 50K seat stadium - filled with people. And when we get our 30K seat stadium built in the next 4 years , and we start packing it to capacity - I'm all for spending another 60 million to expand it to seat 50K. This is just a disagreement about the way to get to 50K.
  4. Maybe you all are misunderstanding the 30K seats is ok camp. Hell, I'd love to have a 45K seat stadium as much as anyone else. Bring it on man!!! But seriously though, back to reality. We have raised 6 million dollars towards a stadium in the... what? - 6 years RV has been here? I want to see a stadium in the next 5 years. If you push a 45K seat stadium then forget it. It won't happen for 15 years. So I think I'm hearing some people say they won't support NT athletics if we don't build a 45K seat stadium. Unbelievable. At this point I'm glad RV is pushing the 30K seat option because that is our best chance for a new stadium period.
  5. So are you saying that people don't like fouts fields and they want a new, expandable 30,000 seat stadium??? Somebody should get on the horn and tell our athletic director immediately!
  6. Agree with UNTflyer. I kind of feel like the 50K seat crowd would be the ones saying HELL NO TO CUSA - SEC or D1AA!!!! It is an incremental step people. One we can afford (hopefully within the next 5 years ???)
  7. Actually, it could be much worse. - Instead of our normal cricket infestation, we could have a locust plague - We could lose all of our games ever WORSER!!!! - We could drop down to 1AA - RV could choose to continue his pizza empire. - Riley dodge could get gangrene in his shoulder, requiring amputation. Thanks!, - Debbie Downer. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/8/8c/Racheldratchdebbie.jpg/250px-Racheldratchdebbie.jpg
  8. yes, that particular one is old.. Look at the rest..
  9. Actually, NT80 is right. The design from the video was different - it had more green glass areas and the endzone section was different - this is a very different design. Also - notice that the luxury boxes are up on the 3rd level - not right above a small 1st level - a design none of us liked, which is good if they go with this design. Furthermore these are clearly not screenshots. They are pictures of a poster sized picture laying on a table of some sort. So... is this it!?!? Is this the designs we paid 300K for? Sure looks like it.
  10. What like we may not be able to procreate and continue the species?
  11. That was where I met my future wife. What does that say about our future?
  12. Dang it!! I thought YOU had the plans!
  13. Yes Cerebus I hear your point. Don't really agree that a small increase in an athletics fee would turn people away from donating to their College of choice after they become rich and famous, but... What is the athletics fee at UT Austin? Does anyone know?
  14. Rick looks like those are not related to Athletics.
  15. If RV wants to shoot himself in the foot and look like a fool (for a second time - remember the first vote campaign/attempt?) then he should absolutely put this up for a vote by the students.
  16. yeah, what lifer said. what gives? Don't get our hopes up with bogus info. Cardinal sin on this site.
  17. Hilarious. Everyone wave at Brett!! HI BRETT!!! DO YOU SEE ME WAVING MY ARMS??
  18. So by your logic you figure that people who didn't want the fee because they don't like athletics would not be likely to donate to athletics later in life after graduation? Doesn't jive...
  19. Somehow I just know Al Gore and his secret lock box is involved with this. He will fix this for us, after solving global warming, of course.
