  1. Good to finally see the pressbox side fully designed. And... it doesn't suck! Not a huge fan of the pillars holding up the large jutting room at the top but, I can live with it, I'm sure it was done to maximize space with the $$ allocated. It is definitely unique looking. As for the endzone, it doesn't look great but the beams are green at least.
  2. That guy needs to write a book about his life's adventures. Standing next to the guy and listening to him talk you're guaranteed to hear some interesting stories. I know I'd buy a copy.
  3. So... you're saying we are guaranteed to beat agy 4% of the time??? YESSSS!!!!!
  4. Hmm, nope, it scrolls down some but only shows the first question and then cuts off the rest of the text.
  5. For some reason my browser won't allow all of the chat transcript to come through. Would it be possible if I asked pretty please with green icing on top if someone could repost the transcript here?
  6. Build a new stadium, inject 6 million a year in additional funding and you've got a different program. Just sayin.
  7. Now that's the spirit! Replace the popcorn with asbestos and you've got the perfect option!
  8. Let's just wait to see what they come up with. I'm just skeptical that they come up with something that is acceptable given how much they are apparently skimping. Oh by the way I'm already lowering the bar with my expectations. Why do I have a feeling they will have no problem doing the limbo underneath it.
  9. Are you kidding me? Brick is too expensive? I'm starting to get really worried as to what kind of "stadium" this is going to be. So let's get some suggestions for our brick replacement. Remember, it has to be cheap, and bonus points for hideousness and or inability to support the superstructure: 1.) floam. I mean, it would be cheap, and I would imagine we could find an unacceptable color of green 2.) recycled tires. In case of a fire, our stadium could be seen for miles! Think of the free marketing opportunity! 3.) cinder blocks. Now this one has promise - we could just raid all the dorm rooms after students leave campus - an untapped free resource. 4.) ???
  10. Tasty.. Have you considered a line of t-shirts with the "GOOD THINGS" theme? I mean, you might be able to do better than break even on them. YOU MIGHT EVEN MAKE MONEY!!
  11. What's this about a new stadium? This is interesting, tell me more.
  12. Thank you sir. That produced a slight grin at 4:54 pm.
  13. no but seriously, they should drop to D1AA. This is a clear sign that you have failed at the D1A experiement. If you cannot afford 200K for a band, you should not be allowed in D1A.
  14. I will be at the Rangers game tonight vs. Houston! Go Rangers!
  15. Funny you say that. My brother in law was a pitcher at Boswell during the years that Brad was there. They both played the year that Boswell won the state championship - I was there with my wife (we were still dating). We have kept up with Brad's career as well. Both Brad and my brother in law were drafted but my brother in law got stuck in 1A ball and eventually gave it up. But it was fun to watch his career during his time in the Padres organization.
  16. huh? I see nothing different. I think I am on the other internet.
  17. I think it should only be used to keep the defenses honest. But if you use it sparingly I feel it would be a powerful surprise attack. He sure does have the jets. Just SLIDE baby, SLIDE!
  18. Right, ok but what is the alleged violation here? Is there really anything illegal about overpaying a coach (even if it is hidden payments)? Yes it is stupid, and yes it will piss off the alumni and donors, but was there an actual NCAA violation here? Maybe I'm missing something.
  19. DRC Link This is mostly a high level summary though.
  20. Sounds like UNT-D will be going green soon... An item from the Thursday UNT regents meeting: spreading the Mean Green colors systemwide to UNT’s Dallas and Fort Worth campuses I think this one is also pretty big: selection of a construction manager and architect to construct a “clean room” at Discovery Park
