  1. Interesting read. Great find Flyer!
  2. Deep in the heart of Texas? Yes, I know that other school in Austin also does it. I don't care, they don't OWN the freaking song. Houston and TCU also sing it at games. We should do it too. I know the kids would love doing it.
  3. Well, Coach Dodge has called this a family atmosphere so... "I love you, you love me, we're a happy fam-ily"
  4. I thought one of the cyborg creatures was a rabbit. Never really considered that a forest animal, but... to each his own I guess.
  5. Nifty feature on the MGS.com website where you can download the football schedule (or basketball) to iCal or outlook.
  6. Should I pull out a pizza hijack or an inappropriate haiku derailment? So many ways one could take this.
  7. I'm afraid it would give people like myself too much credit.
  8. So right now people are getting happy pants from playing Florida International, Florida Atlantic and Western Kentucy (practically a 1AA team)? That is the comparison you are making. I know none of those teams do anything for me. Now let's compare the top end teams - which gets you and the average fan more exited? Fresno State / Hawaii / Louisiana Tech or Troy / MTSU / Arkansas state. I would wager the WAC top three.
  9. The Fireworks. This year we will see the long maligned fireworks display finally lose the moniker "The Most Dishonorable Fireworks of Shame"
  10. But I would contend that that was more to do with the lack of tailgating than anything else. I was there during that time frame and the days of the game were dead until the game started. That isn't the case now. You think people care more about Florida International than Nevada or Idaho? Don't think so, it's a wash. I would be willing to bet that we would get MUCH larger crowds for the combo of Hawaii/Fresno State/NMSU than ANYTHING the belt has to offer, including MTSU/Troy/???whocares-state. And who was our biggest rival in the Sun Belt until recently? NMSU. Oh - the irony. Just my .02
  11. Negatory.
  12. I actually have FiOS available now after my move here locally in Ft.Worth (Keller) but I ain't going for the $40 extra per month for the bundled FiOS service. I'm sure it's better but it's not $40 per month better. FiOS has espn3 also so it was a tough call.
  13. I don't think we can afford to charge twice as much or anything like that for this new stadium. Yes it is nicer, but the same teams will be showing up to play there. You don't want to drop your attendance because people are scared away by high ticket prices. If you start to see sellouts every game all season long, or something close to that, that is when you raise ticket prices substantially.
  14. good find. interesting that other schools see vito's article as us actively trying to jump the sun belt ship. As if other members of our conference are not doing the same.
  15. I'm really ok with it. I have chosen to go the honorable route with this incident. Each one of you will be receiving a court summons via PM shortly. Fake Lonnie has chosen to accept my case and he thinks I have a good chance of winning this.
  16. I will impose harsh penalties on myself for this unfortunate mistake. In my defense the wording is vague in the rule book in that section.
  17. I am so ashamed! ignoring the protocol. consider me slapped. whoa.. that was close to a 6-7-5.
  18. haiku time now guys? should I be happy or sad here? never know when to start.
  19. I'm thinking that the ponds around Fouts II will be a great addition to the atmosphere. Think of the revenue streams we'll be able to generate from the kayaking and boat tours!
  20. Damnit - I'm out of +1's sir. SO I will give you a virtual ++1
  21. I had heard around 2,000 square feet somewhere.
  22. BIG10 CONFERENCE HERE WE COME BABY!!!
  23. hilarious
