  1. Hmm.. So they did move the family packs into the endzone. So if I want to keep the same set of 6 season tickets in the reserved west side (around section 211 in the new stadium) it will cost me over $300 extra or $50 per season ticket. That's not a "small increase". That is a FIFTY PERCENT INCREASE.
  2. I don't think you'd bet any of your hard earned money that the average attendance for the year would be over 25,000.
  3. From what I can gather the incentive is to get more prioity points. wheeeee!!!!!!
  4. According to the rumour that Untcampbell posted in the stadium folder thread, it will continue on but they are shifting those seats to the wingzone. Don't know if that is true or not but it wouldn't surprise me.
  5. Well this certainly is confusing. If the tickets are "around $100" that leaves a lot open for interpretation. Are MY new seats around $100? Or are the $100 seats at the tip of the wingzone? I would love to reserve my 7 season tickets that we have had for the last SEVEN years but I have no idea where they will be at or how much they will end up costing. And now to spook me even more our friend Mr. Campbell threw out the bomb that the kids korner, oops I mean family pack seats will be in the wingzone? That is a huge downgrade in my opinion. And I know for a fact that they sell a LOT of those family pack packages. Do you want to risk pissing all of us off? Hey I understand the need to get this out early but please, let's provide more details than this.
  6. Count me down as being against the eagle on the helmet at this point. I like the interlocking NT like the alumni association uses.
  7. Hmm.. Wouldn't doubt that something like that actually went down.
  8. Stan R finds this type of humor hilarious. He nearly laughed out loud.
  9. I think you guys are doing a great job my only comment would be to say that if we are down to 4 cheers - THAT IS A GOOD THING. If we only had one cheer and everyone did it at the same time I'd say that is a lot better than having 15 cheers that nobody in the stands does. I think the North/Texas chant is great my only suggestion is that you get everyone READY for it before you start it. And that means you need two guys on either side preparing BOTH sides to be ready to do it. Lastly have a way to do it!! We need something like 4 north/texas back and forth and then a final "FIGHT" or something like that. Just have a real begin and end. I think everyone here is thinking the same thing. Don't let FFRick's angst and other's frustration let you get the wrong idea. We are all on the same page here but we just need to look at the *throwing up in my mouth* aggies and others as a model to at least try to emulate with unified cheers.
  10. Exactly. That's all you needed to say. RV's pick of Todd Dodge was based solely on gut feeling and hype. This hire had to be based on skins on the wall at the highest level of Division 1A football. McCarney is in that boat and Canales is the hometown favorite and the feel good story of the year. Feel good stories and some perceived "the right guy for UNT" is absurd. You don't base decisions that could make or break your career on "gut feel". You hire consultants and you look at proven talent. You don't hire people who could "probably be a great" head coach at this level. That is a gamble at the exact worst time for RV. I personally applaud RV for making this decision. Don't think the UNT president didn't have a say in this either, don't forget that aspect of this. I really do like Mike, don't get me wrong, but at this point when we are laying down this kind of cash you look for a guy like Dan M.
  11. For the record I am on board with this hire as well. I wish Coach Canales the best of luck and I am sure that he will do well wherever he ends up next year. My requirements were met: 1.) Clean house 2.) Clean house 3.) Do a legitimate national coaching search with an independent consultant. 4.) Increase the coaching salary and (most likely, just guessing here but), increase the assistant coaching salaries. 5.) Bring in a proven Division 1A coach. That is all. Now we ALL need to get on board with this and move forward. People talking of jumping ship now were never true mean green fans anyway. Same goes to players talking of leaving the team as well. This is quoted far too often on this site but I believe it does apply now: WE DON'T NEED QUITTERS!!
  12. Stacy: Happy anniversary, Wayne. Wayne Campbell: Stacy, we broke up two months ago. Stacy: Well, that doesn't mean we can't still go out, does it? Wayne Campbell: Well, it does actually, that's what breaking up is.
  13. Flying cars.
  14. Got it now. . Schweeet!!!
  15. I have espn3 through FiOS and I don't see it either in live or upcoming. What gives?
  16. I guess Touchdown Jesus was on the other side.
  17. Well put rick. I think that sums up my feelings as well. I love the guy. I just hope that the three you mentioned feel the same way. If they don't and they hire someone else, I'M FINE WITH THAT TOO. Just to be clear.
  18. Jamie Hampton From Office Space - the "O" Face
  19. Well this is just what the doctor ordered to keep attendance up. The fans seem to love Canales - at least his attitude. He is now the underdog fighting for his head coaching job. People will now want to come to see this as a single elimination playoff tournament - for the head coaching job. Lose and you're basically out (not counting K-State of course). Great drama. Almost... hmm... seems like a contrived publicity stunt... But, no of course not that's crazy talk.
  20. I'm more worried about the spider problem. Someone needs to look into that.
  21. Mike Leach is the equivalent of a Rivals 5 star skill player as it relates to coaching. HOWEVER, in this case it is perfectly acceptable to pay this player whatever we want, throw perks at him like free BMWs, Free 6,000 ft. condos, etc.. Think about that for a minute. And then thing about the additional revenue from the student athletic fees. Then put your elongated index finger to your temple and say aloud "HMMMMM"....
  22. V for victory. And aliens that eat human flesh.
  23. The V. Brilliant.
  24. At $100 a brick I'm afraid we wouldn't be able to finish construction of the new stadium until 2040. But I have heard we have an abundance of wrinkled $100 bills so I could be wrong about that.
  25. Sad part is I actually understood this reference.
