  1. Hilarious. Sad part is this is the actual reality of the situation once you decipher all the metaphors here. So, if you are an AD in charge of hiring the baker, and there was a chance that your baker could make motor oil cookies for the next 5 years, you would think long and hard about (prudent) overspending on a decent, proven baker right? Especially given the fact that: 1.) You already under-spent hired a high school cafeteria expert to work at your 5-star hotel and he gave food poisoning to 4 out of 10 customers for the 3-4 years of his tenure. That guy burned your hotel bad for years to come. 2.) You ALSO already under-spent on your pastries chef who managed to think that melamine was a terrific additive to replace the cumbersome food coloring that needed to be added to the pastries. This lady had to be let go, based on your choice as well. Maybe the hiring manager is the problem here?
  2. This doesn't make sense to me. Why even give a rating until you're finished with ALL of the evaluations? Who does that benefit?
  3. emmit = preacher myself = choir. I can't help but think that what this team needs is what my two boys have been exposed to this year. UPWARD BASKETBALL!!! 1.) Fundamentals of Baskteball team play 2.) Fundamentals of Baskteball team play 3.) Scripture learnin'!
  4. I need to invent something worse than a facepalm. Like a facepalm, but with more face, more palm, significantly more shame and embarrassment.
  5. Wait, we aren't the best team in the conference??
  6. wonder how much just the endzone expansion would cost. $20M?
  7. This is... I mean it's so... How do we... How could they.. like. Seriously??
  8. Brock's awesomeness is unquestionably awesome. To "work out" would be pointless.
  9. Maybe because we prefer recruits from Sonday or Wudnesday?
  10. non-quitt-itude = winner huh? not exactly. wish it were that easy. no amount of non-quitterness will make me or Mr. Thompson a BCS level QB. still luv ya tho' bro. stay real. By BCS level I really mean BCS, not...well... I won't go there but you ya feelin' me right?
  11. Hey, look!
  12. I say the whole Lance Armstrong saga can be used for good, not evil. This only furthers my point. Well done lance. The internets thank you.
  13. On the positive side, the money has sure been flowing in the last couple of years. We're not talking chump change either, multipile million-plus donations to athletics. There are some big money guys but I think they waited to see the administration's plan for development of the program, which prior to RV, was non-existent. Once RV came in an had a workable plan, it took a few years, but eventually people saw it could be done and now they are behind it. - 3 million for Basketball? check - baseball possibly on the way? check - 80 million dollar stadium? check. these things blow my mind when I consider facilities in the 90's. RV may be make questionable AD staffing decisions, but I would keep him around and pay him 250K per yr. to handle facilities development ALONE. He's like Jerry Jones. Love the facilities, questionable hiring. Not thrilled about promotions or marketing either, but even that is worlds ahead of what it used to be, which was next to nothing.
  14. This is greatness. Going to try my best to make the event this year. Can't beat the location. Sure beats the old fouts location under the student side seats. Gawd, that was awful. I get embarrassed just thinking about it. A bit off topic - what was the news regarding fouts? They are going to tear down the student side right? This year ?
  15. This is the reason why we are consistently loosers. SMU kept us out of CUSA because of GRAMMER problems!
  16. Maybe some of these players should avoid sugary foods.
  17. Should we sue the sports psychologist? I think we may have a viable case here.
  18. Ya. Probably this.
  19. Nah. We have them right where we want them - Fake Benford.
  20. I don't buy the occupancy rates argument either. Being that close to UNT creates its own demand anyway, not even mentioning the gameday draws. As lifer mentions, and I agree with, maybe people just need a nicer option in order to pull the trigger?
  21. Hmm, Isn't that what we all do on this interwebs thing?
  22. "I think the thing is still wide open".
  23. How do you figure that? Haven't read anything immature in any post I've seen of his.
  24. that's news to me, where did you hear it would start construction in 2013? I didn't even know it was actually a done deal with the funding!
