    He got his wish. Darell Dickey practice fields. At the time I rolled my eyes when I heard they had named it that. Now I appreciate it and think it is appropriate. People's attitudes on topics can change with time.

    SHSU is a fun little school. Went there for a year. Loved it. Loved UNT more.

    Know him personally and his family. They lived just down the street from us several years ago when his kids were little. So proud of him! See him at NT games all the time.

This gave me chills and I had to watch it about three times to actually take in the fact that we sound like a power conference school and you can clearly hear the fight song words.     This is fantastic news. Yes it will affect the hill activities, so what. People will deal with it and adjust accordingly. Maybe they can hang out down by the lake or something. There is plenty of area to hang out. If we are more crowded in on gameday, great.

    Does it have to be a first expansion all the way up to 50K? Why not just fill in the wingzone to connect it two the two sides? I'd think that would only add about 5-8K additional seats and it would look fantastic. The cost on that would not be outrageous - I'm thinking (wild guess) that would be in the range of 20-30 milllion. Nothing crazy - significant, but not crazy dollars.

    Was just reading some of the D.Dickey comments and thinking about the bowl crowd I witnessed. If you would have gone back in a time machine and told me while I was sitting in Fouts field with a crowd of about 3,000 back in the mid 90's and told me "We will have a crowd of almost 40,000 NT fans watch NT defeat a team from the MWC" I would have told you to stop smoking crack in a drunken stupor.
