So, I was able to make it out to the game with my 2yr old son, minus the wife and other two kids. Me and my kid had a great time, the atmosphere at the game was electric. I was shocked at how many Indiana fans were there, in fact I set right behind a family of three all wearing red. Anyway, I don't know why, but I have run into Darrell Dickey at every home basketball game. This time it was walking into the game, and he walked by me and I said - "Hey Darrell". He patted me on the back. Nice Guy. And then when my 2year old wanted some food, I decided to brave the concession stand.. Big mistake.. The line was like 2 miles long. So I went back to my seat and came back probably 15 minutes later. I was waiting in line, and standing behind someone with a NT football pullover and guess who cuts in line with this guy in front of me - Chris Hurd. I laughed to myself as I overheard some of the conversations that were going on between these two. I wasn't sure it was him and then I saw his N.O. Bowl watch. So as he was getting his food I asked him to give me the trademark C. Hurd hand signal - "no way" crossing of the hands - he laughed and said "not anymore, I'm through with it now". Him and his buddy thanked me for my support. Someone with a Sun Belt shirt on was joking with C. Hurd because he had a Miller beer hat on and said "We don't want to send the wrong message..." and "They aren't our sponsor"... Just thought that was a funny story... By the way - I got there a little too late for tailgating, but me and my wife plan to make it for the next game tailgate...
