  1. I'll take silence from Moot as agreement...
  2. I laughed out loud at that one..
  3. Ok, I had an epiphany on the way home. I think I know the answer to Moot's riddle. Here are the details: UNT owns some land somewhere in South Denton or North Tarrant county There are some significant mineral rights attached It is under a portion of the Barnett Shale Ching Ching $$$$$$$$ Moot - am I Hot/Cold/Lukewarm?
  4. NT official website now lists Expected completion date for the new football stadium as fall 2009. It also lists Expected completion date for the Baseball stadium as Summer 2006... At least they are putting a stake in the ground to shoot for. Then if they miss that date well... LINK
  5. Well if you want to go, obviously we can't stop you, but I'd prefer if you didn't go. And that goes out to all bandwagon fans. We're dissapointed, but we'll welcome you back with open arms.. <biting my lip on this one>
  6. Maybe you missed my comment about UTEP? Oh yeah, and how many people are coming to this year's TAMU games? I'd say it's well over 50K average to watch a team get drubbed. Maybe I just see this differently. I support North Texas, not the football program per se but my university. I also happen to realize how important it is to the school's growth. So winning has never been a huge concern to me as far as my support goes. Guess what, I followed the team back in 1995-1999. I don't know if we ever had more than 2 wins a year. Did it matter? Not really. Then it was just more fun for me to yell down at Richard Bridges to not throw dead ducks and scream at matt simon. That is why our recent success is so sweet. I can handle a down year or two, what I CANNOT STAND IS BANDWAGON JUMPERS!!!! AAAAAAAAAAHH!!!!!
  7. The question is do you want to see our team keep its D1A status? It's as simple as that. Has nothing to do with Win/Loss records or how exiting the game is. If you want to drop to D1AA feel free to stop coming to the games. The only way to change things is to prove that you will support the team no matter what (See UTEP in the dictionary) and then you will see our situation change over time.
  8. - The field looks great on TV, since I didn't record the NT vs. Troy this is the first I'm seeing it on the tube. - Brandon Jackson was great in this game, with a couple clutch catches and he seems to have good hands and I could see this being a "go to" guy for Meager in the future since he seems to be the short route guy. - Meager looked good as well, with an accurate arm despite the interceptions. There were more catchable balls that recievers (tight ends) dropped. I have no doubts that he will improve, and all the better with DD deciding to go with more of the short routes to give him some confidence. - I don't know if it was my TV or what, but there was a constant annoying flicker with the picture, as if they were having line connection or electrical problems with the broadcast. Anyone else notice that? Other than that, I enjoyed the commentators, at least they can pretend to be excited by a Sun Belt game. - I don't know why, but we looked more competitive on TV. Maybe that was because I was emotionally detached and could just sort of watch objectively but the only area I really had serious concerns for was the D-line. -We were moving the ball on offense and come on - we had 28 points! The defense has got to start making stops and they look a little confused and this was reminiscent of the Air force game, bewildered linebackers not knowing where the heck to be.
  9. Mootie - One... No details? a "Mystery Team"? Could that local team's initials begin with a S and end with a U? Or maybe begin with a T and end with a U?
  10. Hopefully we're seeing TJ Raymond in the classroom.
  11. Hmm... Arsenio Hall - finger to the forehead..
  12. Jawario is still untaken as far as I know... Congratulations!
  13. please explain to me how this is apples and oranges. Just because BCS schools have more money? That's weak.
  14. I think many of you see where I'm going with this..
  15. Was it Covington that overshot the reciever by 5 yards on what looked to be a sure interception? That was a 3rd down play I believe that ended up going for like 30 yards...
  16. Interesting bit of history here: LINK Did anyone know that was the cause??
  17. I'll definately agree with this one. I kept looking back at my dad going... that was one of the best fakes I've ever seen. Granted we are 762 feet from the action but I kept saying "tackle the freaking RB!!" who came bursting out of the line only to see the QB come out of nowhere with the ball for 25 yards. Masterful job of mixing things up with multiple fakes.
  18. Oh.. Really? I'd like to hear from you what the "right" thing will be exactly? I'd be willing to bet 10 bucks that we never hear any more discussion about this incident coming from either RV, DD, or RF.
  19. Also interesting that JMO claims he can't carry his new weight (closer to 230) and would like to get back to 205...
  20. I had a sick feeling when the news came out that TJ Raymond didn't make the grades. You just don't lose a starter of that size and talent and not have problems on your D-line. Our d-line has resembled swiss cheese this year.
