It is also good to see that he has been coming back to visit NT lately (last season?). Hopefully we can keep good ties to him in the future. He's a great story to tell recruits.

Absolutley!! I remember a shot of Jo Pa after PSU won the game, and nothing from Joe. He just kind of stands around looking at everyone going crazy like he's not sure what to do next. He then goes to the midfield to mumble something to Bowden like it was past his bedtime. His glass are hysterical. I'm convinced he's legally blind. Was one of the most bizzare post game interviews with Paterno and Bowden I've ever seen.

What was it that DD said in one of his interviews? Something like is it a requirement that NT play the #1 team in the nation each year in the first game of the year.

Thanks for bringing this up. I think that seperating the bball and fball is fine, but posts such as these should be allowed to maintain until gameday. Think of it as a way to force it in the faces of possibly many fence sitters that may be in the fball section and not realizing there is a game going on a particular night.

Ok I'll just sum this up to say that in about a month this will be completely forgotten and most likely never mentioned again. Unless we continue to stoke the fires unnecessarily. So I will leave it at that. I'd suggest we all do the same. ...10$ says this isn't the last post on this thread.

Remember the epsiode where george and kramer were playing scrabble? George - "Quone? that's not a word." Kramer - "Yes it is!" Georege "Use it in a sentence" Kramer "To quone something".

I made that comment because I've sat with people who sat through wins at fouts who were bored out of their minds at fouts even after the win. The games may have even been 10-3 type wins. And I guarantee you what MOST people go to games to see is a pass-happy offense. I'm not talking about people who live and breathe college football and are die hard fans. We're not talking about bringing in the "true college football fans". We're talking about bringing in your average joe sports fan or even non-sports fans. Those are the butts in seats we need to bring in to fouts. Those bandwagon fans like to see pass happy offenses. It is more entertaining. That will keep them coming back. This is an entertainment business, not a "winnning brings fans" business. In my opinion, the real reason for the consistent attendance increases has been two things, yes winning is crucial but the tailgating has been just as important.

Ok, fair enough. So you think it is realistic to go 2-0 in OOC next season. At home. Okie dokie. I would be satisfied with winning either of them. So what happens if we drop them both? And go .500 in Sun Belt play? Sky falling now?

Well since I'm really bored on a Thursday afternoon, I'll respond to some of these: 2.) Well that leaves a lot open for interpretation - what are we "supposed to win"? 7.) What are the pipe dreams? 8.) Or it could get you a full time position in UNT administration as a spy! And medical benefits! basically, I'd love to hear from you what is realistic in who we should expect to win?

All of the schools you mention would beat most CUSA and SunBelt schools by a substantial margin. I think the jump argument is valid, from a recruiting standpoint, a money standpoint and a facilities standpoint, all of which will exponentially improve after this jump.
