I noticed that Keller Central moved up to 5A. That is about 2 blocks from my house. Also, their varsity coach (Bart Helsley) is an NT alum. He attends Mean Green Football games as well. Good luck to coach Helsley who seems to be turning things around for that young program.

Muts never had a 4* recruit. And remember the best player on our squad right now was only a 3* recruit. Maybe that is being simplistic but one player can make a huge impact, especially at the DE position. Also don't forget that the core of the name players on our winning squads were mostly State top 100 recruits from one great recruiting season. Where are the state 100 recruits now?

And our #1 RB has had persistent hamstring issues. NOT good.

C+ Good D-line and O-line recruits, A good DB, not much on WR or RB. Can we really afford to take a season off in recruiting skill positions like RB, WR and QB? I don't think we can.

Wow, 15 tackles in one game by a DT? Is Patton the best recruit in this class? Unless TJ makes grades I'd say he's your starter.

I don't know how anyone could be disappointed with 5K in attendance. Especially given some of the other games this year where attendance was under 2K.

And as for the shots not falling, that one is easy. That's because they couldn't freaking get open for 1 or 2 seconds before some defender was up in their face. Our guys were doing everything the could to just HOLD ON TO THE DAMN BALL. It was men among boys for this game. period.
