  1. Well, it is here: 3.9 Enhance communication and activities designed to increase involvement by alumni and friends in the life of the university and to increase membership in North Texas Exes; 3.10 Increase the visibility and reputation of UNT through hosted events, and local, regional and national media coverage of academic, athletic and other university activities and accomplishments; and 3.11 Conduct regular institutional research to address key questions related to institutional identity, reputation, engagement and other important concerns of external and internal constituencies. But boy, it is relegated to the back page of the sports section.
  2. I still remember walking up to the AC after it was initially completed and being in awe of the size and quality of it relative to what NT has built in the past. It is like night and day better than our previous facilities. Gave me chills to imagine a new stadium attached to it...
  3. I knew LOST would be involved in this in some way.
  4. What you are suggesting isn't rocket science. It also isn't very expensive. What is the Athletic Department's excuse?
  5. Here are some comments from the new recruiting coordinator, Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf On The UT's game preparation: "Who are in control, they are not in control of anything - they don't even control themselves!" On their players: "We are not afraid of the Horns. Allah has condemned them. They are stupid. They are stupid" (dramatic pause) "and they are condemned." On the early vegas odds of UT winning by 0ver 65 points: "The odds-makers, they always depend on a method what I call ... stupid, silly. All I ask is check yourself. Do not in fact repeat their lies." On UNT's mental preparation for the game: "Now even the Longhorn command is under siege. We are hitting it from the north, east, south and west. We chase them here and they chase us there. But at the end we are the people who are laying siege to them. And it is not them who are besieging us." - M.S.S.
  6. WOW this really takes me back. contra freaking rocked. Games were so straight forward back then. I get so freaked out when I can run in any direction. I'd rather just be restricted to left right up and down.
  7. Right. And since we aren't a mid major I would take even more than that.
  8. Here's what I think would do it >= 2700 total rushing yards > 12 yards per carry average > 4 TD per game average (and at least 4 TDs against UT, SMU and LT) >= 500 recieving yards Unbeaten 11-0 record for UNT* * Only exception would be against UT. We could still lose that game but he would still be required to have at least 4 TD runs and over 250 yards rushing. Because I mean hell he had 250 vs. Colorado and not a sniff of hiesman. By the way, these are conservative numbers. It would be much better if he had a 300+ rushing average and 5 or 6+ TD average vs. Sunbelt. I don't think that could be ignored. Even with all of this I'd say that only gets him into top five and he would probably lose.
  9. Some great ones listed in this topic. Mario Bros, Super Mario Zelda (favorite) Metroid Mike Tyson
  10. I think a goatee is ok as long as it is not braided or decorated with any sort of beads. Also if it is so frazzled that a bird could live in it, you are also probably in violation of anti-mullet protocol.
  11. It's official. This guy is no SMU imposter. He's the real deal.
  12. seriously! If there is one I couldn't name it.
  13. BWAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Freaking brilliance. That caused a quiet laugh outburst in my solitary cube here. That is not an easy thing to do. Keep up the good work my anonymous internet friend.
  14. Hmm. I thought I had heard they were going to tear down the old wellness center and build the new building on that land. Has that changed?
  15. Oh wait, I have a guess... new Baseball stadium to start construction in Late July?
  16. Good point. I'm concerned as well. Didn't know if someone had some insider information or had seen actual blueprints. If the city of Denton and UNT allow the kinds of strip centers that are pictured in those properties they should be ashamed of themselves. Honestly I'd support any kind of boycot or picketing that would come out of that development. However, I don't think the City of Denton or UNT WOULD allow that sort of thing. Not that close to the campus. I'd guess they would require them to build something more appropriate for that area. But what do I know..
  17. You know this based on what? Assumptions? Gut Feel?
  18. HEY! LJ! EVERY president should be a student centered president!!!
  19. yeaaaahhh. now you're talking.. reverse psychology... the donors we'll see that there is no cohesive plan, then they'll think that surely there is a massive master plan under the covers, somewhere in our secret VIP bunker. They'll have no choice but to write massive checks due to the brilliant mind control scheme RV has cooked up.
  20. Well, it all makes sense then. Quones workes in the jails... Hence well...
  21. I think this is the essence of the arguments. Scholes is going off into the minutia of deductions like a good accountant but in the end you are basically taxed on realized income. And for those folks with assets in the stock market who live frugal lives (the millionare next door), they realize so little of their wealth that they pay an incredibly small amount of taxes relative to their wealth. That is the key to all of this, right?
  22. Actualy quonester, your sentence should probably be finished with a period rather than a question mark. Should be: I'm all about you calling me out, but could you please construct your sentence like someone without down syndrome? or I'm all about you calling me out, but you could construct your sentence like someone without down syndrome. No charge for the grammatical assistance.
  23. I can't believe you guys didn't give a bid card to quones.
