Thanks for the report, Rick. I think if Foster from Allen (my old high school. ) can lose 15-20 lbs he'll be a monster. Hopefully that would happen, but IMO even if he doesn't he would be an above average O-lineman for NT. Looking forward to seeing him in action. Any idea why Patton didn't play?

Well that is because basically we are poor (relatively to other schools like Baylor - I know, this is shocking news.). But not so poor that we wouldn't be willing to pony up a little more for the following: -an entertaining product on the field. (don't have it yet) -an engaging and fiery coach (nope) -good promotions (we are getting there, but entirely too slowly) -opponents at home we have heard of, they don't even have to be good teams (see baylor, SMU, La Tech as examples - getting better in this respect) -an AD that communicates regularly about progress of the program (a bit shaky here at times) So all in all I think we are on the cusp of this and I'm sure people will jump on the fact that I said I wasn't going to join the MGC this year at any level. There are some reasons for that: 1.) I already spend close to 180 dollars on the family fun pack with my 3 kids 2.) Did I mention I have three kids? 3.) I have a BIG problem with the way DD bad mouths NT. I know he's a good person and I've met him and chatted with him a couple times. Still he has no excuse to bad mouth NT. 4.) As some have already mentioned, I feel the extra communication that members of the MGC should be granted isn't happening, mabye I have a wrong impression here, but I think they should be entitled to a little more information (duh - how about at least a monthly newsletter exclusive to MGC members?) Anyway, fire away. Buy until 1,2,3 and 4 are resolved I don't see myself pinching my wallet for an extra $150 for MGC membership. Call me a traitor if you will.

A couple years ago I would have said it would be nuts to add SWTSU to our conference but now I'm leaning toward approving it. We need more teams and they're probably as good as most of the teams in our conference anyway. Bring em on.

At this point it boils down to three things, yes he's a "nice guy" blah blah blah but for this particular issue it can only be one of three things. DD's a smart guy. He knows we've been asking for this. So which of these is his excuse? 1.) I don't care. 2.) I'm not paid enough. 3.) I might do it if it weren't for the fact that I'm just lazy.

Wait a minute. I thought the latest news was that we would be able to build a stadium independent of the Outlaws??? That they wouldn't even be involved anymore...

So.... The outlaws will be playing at Ryan High School??? I guess that's another ball RV dropped here. I thought we'd start seeing baseball stadium construction sometime this year.
