  1. You know I really think he meant small as in size - not stature. Not to say we don't also have a crappy rep as a football powerhouse, yadda yadda... But I really think there is still the perception that UNT is a smallish school in size comparitive to SHSU or SFA. Seriouslly, I get that feeling that not many in the metroplex have realized that UNT is up over 30,000 students now.
  2. Weellll. I agree with emmitt here. mostly. But I don't think the timing is right to implement this yet at NT. Maybe a variant of this. How about we hire about 5-6 NT "clowns" dressed as green clowns to run around like "showtime at the apollo" with green brooms and kind of play-sweep them toward the stadium?? Think that would embarrass them enough to attend the game?
  3. True, but the problem is - at least as I see it - that Maple, Clark, etc.. are more traditional looking collegiate dorm buildings. The old college inn looks like a really bad motel 6. It isn't sustainable because it isn't aging well. That is why buildings that are traditional old skool college can last 100 years or more (provided the construction is sound, etc.).
  4. I think PHS has a good point. I'd hazzard a guess that UT has a very low percentage and the the majority of attendance at games is acutally from Alumni. Almuni that have been built up year after year.
  5. What a coincidence!?!?!? I'm also a fan of "cold and free"!
  6. DMN article Good to be put into that grouping of schools. The Rec center at UNT was a huge accomplishment.
  7. yep. Let's see how much muscle he puts back on. If he can get up to 250 of pure muscle then I guess he could be a star DE, but does he have the speed?
  8. NT Daily Link I'm not sure what to think of that number. RV is very vague when discussing time tables for anything these days...
  9. Well if it is true he's going to make millions as a poster boy for the south beach diet or some such.
  10. HOLY $#!@!! 85 POUNDS??? Can't be a typo because they said 225 and that he lost 85 pounds...
  11. I don't agree with their prediction that the Sun Belt will not win ANY OOC games. I believe NT will win at least one against Tusla, Akron, SMU or LaTech...
  12. second the motion. Granted the lines would be wavy, and up a hill, and uhhh. there would be trees in the way .. I think... But uh.. still a great idea...
  13. Yes, you are correct, forgot about that. I missed the deadline so I'll be shelling out the 10 bones. Oh well, consider it an additional donation.
  14. Smart move for a couple reasons... Saves mailing costs to deliver season tickets. 5$ per attendee also raises some funds.. Shows the team how committed the fan base is to attend this. IN OTHER WORDS... NO EXCUSE FOR NOT SHOWING.
  15. Back to the rant I came up with a few weeks ago. These items the have added to the concessions are great, no - awesome but... Why are we forced via the family pack to chow only on pizza and cokes? Why not just give us vouchers to get any food in the concession area? I think it would make sense and some days I may just want to get dippin dots and a chilli dog or something to be different. Would be nice to have that flexibility. Now, that being said... if RV has some sweet deal for a future Dominoes stadium at Eagle Point... I'm ok with it.
  16. Quoner I don't know what to say. Honestly I'm speechless. Torcher? I'm guessing that is some sort of torture practiced by burning one's toenails off with a welding torch?
  17. 14 million?? Depressing. How much do we have? I guess that is under our policy of "stealh fundraising". That policy was enacted due to the raging success of our "stealh recruiting" strategy. We will go out to visit Eagle point one day and BAM the Stadium will just be there. SURPRISE!
