The great part about this is that people are talking in a constructive manner about the traditions, chants, fan pride in a way that has never happened before to my knowledge. The fact that people have organized this and took the time to attend (namely Dr. B and RV) is a very good sign of progress to come. If the ONLY thing that comes out of this is a more unified chant at the FB game with a beginning and an end - we have made progress folks. Baby steps.

Good points 88 - one thing we need to market, IMO is the 1st game of next BB season as a "pack the pit" type of deal. We need to get a MINIMUM of 7,000 people in the pit. I think it could be done. Make it a big deal with the unveiling of the new banner.

Great news! One concern though. There is a chance that this event could generate extremely large crowds. *small chance*. Has the AD thought of this? On a semi-related note - same questions RE: Todd Dodge's pre-season athletic dept. dinner and fan meet/greet. Anyone think this could be standing room only?? Where would they set up cameras?

We had the dean of the college of business come down to our corporate campus up here in westlake and about 50-60 alums met with faculty from NT. Of course the topics went like so: 1.) Wow! how great that NT has made the 16 in basketball! Other variations of cluless comments related to NCAA tourney in spades. 2.) You guys got a great guy in TD - we'll miss him though (from Southlake residents evidently in attendance). 3.) We can't wait for the next FB season - will be coming up to watch some games now. 4.) Dean mentioned that by 2010 there will be a new Business building built somewhere on campus.
