  1. Did you use the right area code? If not, here it is.
  2. As we say in North Carolina, congratulations on a job well did.
  3. The last and only time we beat a ranked team was against San Diego State in 1974!
  4. They were not ranked when we played them.
  5. I gave up on the stations and finally downloaded the Learfield ap and listen over my cell phone.
  6. Green Brigade sounding awfully good today!
  7. Corso wants no part of Denton. We used to beat his Louisville teams on a regular basis during our MVC days.
  8. Those are some good ones!
  9. It's nice to hear Bill Mercer again. What a great legacy he left.
  10. This is a problem. Last week, I tried to listen to the game. I could not hear the game on KNTU and then went to the Mean Green Sports site to see who else was broadcasting the game. I do not have a TuneIn account but none of the stations listed on the site had the game! Instead, they were playing their normal programming. https://meangreensports.com/sports/2018/7/6/ot-mean-green-radio-network-html.aspx I ended up listening to the game on one the Southern Miss stations, which were easy to find.
  11. I liked them better when they were Pan American University
  12. There is no doubt in my adle mind that he is giving the hook em horns sign. Wait, on second thought, maybe he was displaying some school spirit and showing the claw? Not even one of your options
  13. He could have applied for the AD position. He would have made about 100K more than being the chancellor.
  14. Late to the game! Is there any way to listen other than Tuned In? Thanks in advance.
  15. Quite right. You win. I'm a Norfolk native and the author and I went to jr. high and high school together, but I seem to recall him saying just a few years ago that ODU was too good for C-USA and deserved to be in the AAC. Where their stadium was mostly full for every game when they started playing football, now they play to empty seats. One nice thing about the AAC that is seldom discussed is the caliber of many of the schools. I would much rather be associated with Navy, Rice, Temple, and Tulane rather than Troy, Ga State, and Monroe.
  16. In its early days, Oral Roberts University was considered a wacky place, due to its founder's beliefs and stronghold on the entire enterprise. Now that the Roberts family is no longer involved, no one gives them much thought. I thought that perhaps Liberty would go the same route. The Falwell family is at least officially out of the picture and they now have the opportunity to reinvent themselves. But things like this keep happening: https://nypost.com/2021/10/25/liberty-university-sued-for-discouraging-sex-assault-reports/
  17. What bad news. Not to get any of us old timers started, but the parade used to be such a big deal. There were at least 20 high school bands participating as well as a few service bands. The parade started at about 10 am and made its way from Ave E to the square via Hickory and then once around the square. After the parade, the various departments and schools had their open houses. Kick-off was about 2 pm and following the loss game, there was a big concert with the university symphony featuring some B list artist. Great memories.
  18. That seems to be their plan. I was listening to ESPNU on Sirius XM this morning and one of their guests was talking about this. He said that CUSA was planning to reinvent themselves as a Texas-SouthWest centric conference. Judy was fielding calls from FBS potentials from all over the region. The guest, whoever he was, seemed to be very knowledgeable about what's going on.
