Concur! I listen to some of the ACC games on the radio here and am sure we have two of the best announcers in the business. That Tulane guy needs to have a little Grey Goose to calm down.

Of course there is improvement but when you have been ranked 120 (or whatever) of 1A schools under Dodge, there is no where to go but up. The Tulane coach is in his second year, how did he manage his improvement?

You would be shocked at how much of the taxpayer's subsidize academy sports. I am still bitter recalling when I was a brand new lieutenant and all officers had a mandatory deduction made from our salary to pay for the AFA stadium.

If they don't play better than they did against ECU, they better plan for an "op out" rather than a black op. I listened to the game on the radio. What a bunch of wining from the UNC announcers..."to give up this many points to a CUSA team is unthinkable", etc. etc.

I'm not certain this problem is isolated to football only. I'm concerned this carries over to all spectator events other than movies. Returning to football, I'm an evening program adjunct at a small liberal arts college in North Carolina. They play D111 football which I enjoy very much. From time to time, I attend a game and the stadium is practically empty. The parents are in the stands but not many others. Now, this is a campus of less than 1000 and one in ten students is a member of the team. They do not have isolated dorms, cafeterias, etc. The players are the friends of the rest of the student body but the students still find better things to do on a Sat afternoon. In my day job, I am the director of an opera company in NYC. I do not have audience problems yet but I will as we are attracting fewer and fewer young people. This problem carries over to all the performing arts and countless seminars are held to discuss the problem and its solution. I'm not sure there is a solution to this declining interest. Will a state of the art wifi really bring youngsters in? I think their interests are turning in different directions which does not include sitting in one place for three hours for almost anything other than video games or the Internet.

Wrong green, but I guess its better than not being offered at all. For those more knowledgeable than me, doesn't someone have to obtain the rights to use our logo on commercial merchandise? In the approval process, you would think the correct shade of green is specified.

This thread made me pull out my old class ring from the class of 1975 (still fits!). I then went to the Josten's link and see there is quite a bit of difference with the new ring. One side of my ring has the class year, then underneath is the admin building with a huge eagle surrounding the building with it's wings. Underneath that is an interlocking NT. The other side has the degree which in my case was a B.M. Underneath is the university seal and underneath that is the interlocking NT. The crest shows my fraternity letters below a small diamond. In retrospect, this looks very gaudy and maybe even a little gay.....not that there is anything wrong with that.
