I too am a fan of the "PACK THE PICK" slogan. Maybe not for a specific game ... FOR EVERY GAME !!!

Does anyone else remember the "PACK THE PIT" promotion of the past ? Now's the time for the Athletic Department to really start promoting both the women's and men's basketball teams. GO MEAN GREEN

The "Holiday Season" didn't prevent them from having a story about the loss to UH. And yes, I do realize that the events calendar is on the right. The point is that the marketing of North Texas sports is PATHETIC !

The crowd noise sounded great, too bad it was the visiting teams fans making most of it. My plans of making it to the game ended as I was stuck on the nightmare known as I35E North. After sitting in traffic for 30+ minutes going nowhere, I headed back. Seems like the highway dept decided to do work on the day that everyone was trying to go North.

DENTON (12/22/05) - The Mean Green has won back-to-back games and will host Houston, which is receiving votes in both the AP and ESPN/USA Today Coaches Polls, on Friday at 1 p.m. in third of five consecutive games at the Super Pit. The game is one of just three afternoon tilts for the Mean Green this year. North Texas, which is 4-0 at home this season, plays its next three games at the Super Pit and has six home games during the month of December. The Mean Green also plays seven of its next eight games at home, including its first four Sun Belt Conference contests. The Mean Green’s only road outing during that stretch will come on January 2 at Tulsa. North Texas has won its last seven home games against non-conference opponents. The Mean Green has also won 21 of 25 home games against non-conference opponents all-time under head coach Johnny Jones for an .840 winning percentage

At least the NAME is out there. In the past, we couldn't even get that. It's a move in the right direction. Not as big of a move that we would like, but at least a move.

What kind of attendance should I expect for the game ? I'm off this week and was also planning on going to Friday's game.

Just say NO to scheduling a 1AA school in Denton. It's hard enough to get people to the game when we play against our own conference. There's also the possibility of losing, which unfortunately would be a huge setback to our already unstable fanbase. Not to be a pessimist, just a realist.

Could this be the beginning of the end of the New Orleans Bowl ? Hopefully not. Layfayette is no New Orleans. However I would have expected more ASU fans to make the trip since I believe they have never been to a bowl game before.

Has anyone received anything about the game being changed from the Athletic Department ? It would be nice to get a good crowd out tailgating before the game and then into the Super Pit. Maybe get the "Beer Man" to perform as well.

Bring back the "script"

My vote was for a regional school. We need to try to get some intra-state rivalries started. Also, I would vote for it being a HOME game.
