  1. At Gatlinburg-Pittman HS in Tennessee
  2. And they are not a Carnegie Tier One school either
  3. If you are any other team (including UNT) and you join a league with Stanford, Cal, and SMU, expect them to bolt when the ACC changes.
  4. If only four teams leave, things can continue moving forward; if they take 2-4 more, not so much. I would think this is being spearheaded (if true) by SMU and Memphis. SMU will do everything to keep us out (the ONLY reason they supported UNT getting into the American is because they believed they would be leaving). My biggest fears are that with even four teams going, the ESPN contract could be screwed up, and Mike A will be the new league commissioner.
  5. There are no exit fees for the teams that announced they were leaving this year
  6. So if it happens, it's your fault 🙂
  7. Getting that gut-wrenching feeling that the new league will take Mike A, and with the teams going, the ESPN contract will fall apart. I f'ing hate having this pessimistic feeling, but it seems every time we get a chance at a better conference, it craps out.
  8. SMU, Rice, Memphis, and Tulane
  9. The frat pack seems to like to take shots. Well, I came across this concerning Tier 1 and Tier 2 Universities in Texas.
  10. Interesting concept (sort of like the Premier League in soccer). https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/bryan.hamilton27/viz/CFBRealignment/Story1

  11. How many were planned runs, and how many were "run for your life" runs?
  12. Here's a wild thought for OSU, WSU, and Cal - you should band together and join the AAC. You know, good and well, if Stanford gets an opportunity, they would leave you behind in a second. So the three of you should join together and decide, and if Stanford wants to follow you, okay? If not, so be it. Don't let Stanford dictate your path.
  13. With SMU in the mix, the chance for "everybody" is slim. SMU is desperate(they couldn't even pay the ACC to take them). What I keep finding hilarious is the SMU fans talking about how they bring something to a conference and how much they have to offer. At the same time, it would not surprise me to see SMU pick up the buyout fees for three other teams to go with them and join the PAC. It seems that belonging to a conference that is called a Power 5 conference means a lot to them, enough that they've made a laughing stock of themselves around college football by offering to go to the conference with no payouts.
  14. Just for including ULM if nothing else
  15. I imagine the PAC 4 is trying everything behind the scenes to get four teams to join them. Don't trust SMU not to be trying to gather three others and bolt.
  16. Good point. Hopefully, our offense is a pass-first option for the QB, not centered on a QB racking up yards (we have plenty of good RBs). Not as worried about how many yards he has, but was he able to escape and keep drives going when needed?
  17. Several places mention that 8/15 is the deadline for FSU to announce if they will leave after the 2023 season (one-year notice.) What are those deadlines for the American and the MWC? If the PAC is expanding (not merging), they need four more teams in 2024.
  18. Harris had 25 sacks for -126 yards.
  19. Right after that, they did a segment on the American. They had Coach Morris and Jared on recently. In the past, Wren came on often and Phil B was a regular. They also spend time talking about teams in the American.
  20. These guys do a nice job and have been very fair to North Texas.
  21. I'm not sure who will be named the starter, but I can almost guarantee that the backup will be the most popular guy with the fan base if we don't play well.
