  1. Great question. Maybe because they thought it could never happen, it seems that there are no exit fees for all teams leaving. I would guess that the payouts for a specific year would have to go to the teams that were members of the conference for the period the payment covered. I would doubt that six or so teams will forgo the money. I also wonder about the debts of the conference; with it going away, I would think they would have to make sure those were covered before any payouts were made. Also, what happens to the Pac's NCAA tournament payouts?
  2. It brings more money, especially if SMU takes no share. This can then be used to appease the holdout 4
  3. They will be breaking that news at a later time
  4. I believe there was mention that some work will begin after the season
  5. In reality, if their money guys continue to support them and they keep bringing in talent, staying in the AAC might give them their best chance of reaching the playoffs. The question becomes how long can they keep it going and convincing players to go there?
  6. Question - Did Rogers come in as a Grad transfer?
  7. I am concerned that Defense does not seem to be a focal point in Air Raid systems. Even if we don't have an elite Defense, I hope we can develop an "average to good" Defense.
  8. Williams is a big Aresco fan. Some general comments concerned the American and the MWC merging to form a "Super" G5 conference. He felt this would easily separate them from the other G5 conferences and could probably get a deal across all time zones that could surpass what they both have now.
  9. I think there are a lot like SMU in the fact that cannot believe people don't want them and feel they are a vital part of any conference
  10. Honestly I would like for SMU to leave. The reality is as long as they have the money to keep buying players the talent is going to get wider and we can moan and groan but it's going to get harder to compete with them
  11. The problem you will run into sooner or later is that when a program can invest the money and buy players they are eventually going to have the potential to have a talent Gap that's going to be hard to make up.
  12. I did not notice this being announced, but UNT alumnus Whitney Volentine was elevated to Director of On-Campus Recruiting for UNT football in the summer of 2023 after previously serving as the recruiting operations coordinator since January of 2023. Looks like her previous position was filled by another UNT alumnus Sequoia Bagrow who is the new recruiting operations coordinator for the UNT football
  13. The Green Room (Brune and Collin) really put a negative spin on this (it looks like they checked in with Mike Craven first to maintain the DCTF party line). It seems like a couple of guys who can't understand how the person the anointed (Rogers) was not given the job on a silver platter. I like the guys, but this was one of the worst Pods that have ever done. Both, especially Collin, very negative.
  14. Here was my reply Yes, because backup players never step up. So you find a way to take a negative swipe at both players. But it's good to know that no backups will be surprising fans this year and performing better than they have in the past.
  15. UTSA ass-kiss Mike Craven made sure to take a swipe at not only Rogers but Stone, also No matter why/how it happened, he was never a top 5-7 QB in Texas heading into 2023. If he was, he’d be starting over the ACU transfer who couldn’t factor in last season. What a pile of 🐔 💩 he can be at times.
  16. I had one of my Production Operation Management classes, and on the first day, two guys walked in wearing A&M ball caps. My professor looked at both of them and asked, "Why the hell are you wearing those here?" They gave a poor-me story about having problems at A&M and thought they would enroll at North Texas to bump up their GPA quickly so they could return. Happy to say both guys dropped the class after the first exam when they were the bottom two in the class.
  17. I would also like to see them do this with other student groups. We need to be creative in finding new fans.
