  1. When people ask why give RV more lead way or benefit of the doubt than DD – I think FFR post covers the answer for many people. Look everyone make mistakes and no one is saying RV is perfect, but his style is much different than DD’s.
  2. Should we e-mail this to MM?
  3. I thought it was after Dickey was fired
  4. He needs to be judged on W's and L's No more "credit" for should of, could of, would of ....
  5. So, if he hires one of them you will not support the program anymore? I think we all want to see UNT succeed. Why would RV make a call and President B back him up for someone they did not think would do a good job? This hire will be the standard that RV will be held accountable to, as well as a move that Bataille will also be judged on.
  6. I have noticed that some of the same people who said "anyone but Dickey" have now put a lot of conditions on "anyone".
  7. For me it's the first!
  8. If Fisher actually interviews it raises a couple of questions – 1) Is he trying to use UNT to leverage another school? I hate to sound pessimistic, but it’s hard to believe we could afford him. 2) If we are going to pay at his level, even if he say’s no this could lead to a whole different level of candidates
  9. John Tyler last won State in 1994 (over Austin Westlake - 5A - Div. II), they lost in the 5A Division II finals in 2000 against Katy. Side note - Tyler's best school - Lee (Robert E. Lee) won the 2004 5A Div. I championship over Spring Westfield
  10. Not our Dickey - THERE ARE 2 OF THEM
  11. Mitch Maher- Mitch grew up in Plano, TX, attending First Baptist Church of Plano. Through that church and a great home, Mitch came to know Jesus Christ as Savior when he was 12 years old. Mitch moved on to the University of North Texas in Denton where he quarterbacked the football team and earned a Bachelor in Business Administration in 1995. Because of a passion for ministry, he began Dallas Theological Seminary in the fall of 1995 where he earned a Masters of Theology (Pastoral Leadership) in 2000. From 1996 to 2001 Mitch worked with the Young Singles Ministry of Denton Bible Church, serving as the Director for over three years. With a passion for the local church, communicating God’s truth, equipping believers for the ministry, and raising up young men in the faith, Mitch eagerly accepted the opportunity to join in planting Fellowship Bible Church of Jonesboro.
  12. (If nothing else maybe this will tick-off Pony fans) I know everyone is saying we could not have won a bidding war with the Ponies if we went after the same coach. BUT, what if that coach was to choose UNT over SMU? The suicide watch would have to be issued on their campus. Was this something that might have played a roll in their decision??
  13. If we both go after the same person I do not think we could out-bid them if it comes down to $$$$
  14. Does anyone know if Carthel has even expressed interest in the job?
  15. Shaft - Sometimes “voluntary” is watched and monitored as close as mandatory. Who is there and what they are doing is very well known and followed.
  16. So. if you watch Fox long enough you'll end up watching CNN?
  17. Shaft has never been one to let facts stand in the way
  18. But why not creative like other teams and find ways to get good athletes on the field? Line him up at receiver or in the backfield and get him some touches.
  19. If there is going to be blame for the " killer " OOC, then there needs to be thanks to the same people for the Sun Belt (which gave us the W's).
  20. I guess there will always be a lot of DD – Good Guy/Bad Guy stories. I have no reason to doubt the stories of DD – Good Guy, but why when he was in public forums did he almost always seem to come off as bitter? He could have helped himself by working with a Public Relations firm to be able to open up in public venues.
  21. Good points Rick!!!
  22. Daryl Dickey Position: Quarterbacks Coach Experience: 5th Season at FSU Alma Mater: Tennessee '85
  23. I know this is all guessing (and this is just to get some what if's going) .... Could this have been a way to show their support is for DD over their University? If so how shpuld this be viewed after DD is gone?
