  1. At this time, we need to count on TD bringing in players to fit his system. If he succeeds the bigger, stronger, faster players will follow.
  2. The Horns are coming out to El Paso in 2008 to play UTEP.
  3. If the UTags start off bad don't be surprised if the HC is canned and DD promoted
  4. I guess they turned the state into a city???
  5. Title 9 has been a boom for Foreign players
  6. How often has a coach been fired at a school and later re-hired?????
  7. At UTEP he never even signed his original contract
  8. If the contract is incentive based that’s fine, but also include performance levels (W’s) to maintain his position.
  9. Any updated information on this topic?
  10. A while back I made a similar comment – don’t be surprised to see Riley start off at a BCS school and end up at UNT. Then again, to get some panicking – maybe Riley knows his dad will not be staying at UNT as long as he (Riley) would be here.
  11. This is a really good post.
  12. Does anyone have additional info. on Coach Mendoza other than the Meangreensports.com info? Ron Mendoza has been named the defensive coordinator and will take over the reigns of the Mean Green linebackers in 2007. Mendoza has served as an assistant at Southlake Carroll High School since 2000, including the past three years as defensive coordinator. A 27-year coaching veteran, Mendoza was part of four state title teams at Carroll with his defenses playing a dominant role. In the 2006 state-title run the Dragons defense only allowed an average of 10.5 points per game in the playoffs to go alongside the quick-strike Carroll offense that averaged over 44 points per game for the year. In his three years as coordinator the Dragons won P.S. It would be nice if Meangreensports.com would add pictures to the Asst. Coaches
  13. Nice job K7
  14. Okay, let go with the case where the offense will do a better job at moving the ball. Can anyone shine some light on Dodge’s defensive philosophy (sorry but I’ve focused mainly on the “O”). What did they do at SLC? Look at NMSU, Mumme’s offense moves the ball with ease but their defense is really bad. Thanks
  15. I have to go with the “yes” for HOF. Sorry but the history of football accomplishments at UNT are not to the point yet where leading the Nation in rushing does not rate as an automatic qualifier. As was mentioned, if he had 3 average/poor years and tore it up his senior year there would be no question that he would be headed for the HOF.
  16. Something to think about…. While Riley probably has a strong desire to be close to his dad it might not be surprising if Tre want’s to get away from Nate.
  17. Can someone please help me understand what it takes to be a 3-satr recruit?
  18. If we don't get Riley I really Hope we do not lose him to TCU (or SMU). If he goes to a BCS school in the top part of thier conference it might not hurt as bad, but to lose him to a non-BCS school would hurt.
  19. Let's see ... Jimmy to Barry Bill to Wade Jerry really hates to be overshadowed by his coach
  20. Based on our current Center(s) ability to snap out of the gun at all time Johnson (from Plano) might be a surprise starter
  21. I’m guessing that those of you who think a NON BINDING early commitment should have been honored are really pissed at Vizza? It seems there is are good amount of people who have been waiting for the opportunity to lash out at TD. Do you feel better??
  22. Just a question. If this board and so many of the poster seem to bring you to this point of displeasure why do you keep posting?
